We had one of the best family holidays at Mountain Park Hotel. The owners made us feel completely at home. The rooms are comfortable, clean and bright. The meals served in the restaurant were delightful, we were offered family meal options that were not on the menu if placed in advance, and the hot chocolate is the best I have ever tasted. Service was impeccable- We will definitely be back soon for many more family getaways!

We have been staying at the Mountain Park Hotel on trips to KwaZulu-Natal since 2003. We returned this year with a group of 20, including 6 children aged 6 to 14. New owners, Ralph and Sam Henderson, provided a warm, welcoming family setting accommodating our group’s every need and request. The horseback riding and guided mountain hiking they arranged became the children’s highlights of their two weeks in South Africa. We look forward to returning for more of the Henderson family’s excellent food and hospitality. As the kids and other group members commented, it felt like being at home.

From our arrival to our departure, Sam and Ralph made our group feel as welcome. They and their wonderful team went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best stay possible. Our meals were very good and they helped us plan activities such as hikes through the local mountains.
