During our stay we had fire alarm gone off four time at odd hours. One of my family member is wheel chair bound and we had informed this to the hotel, despite knowing this none of the staff ever called to offer help during evacuation calls. The hotel does not have any provision or SOP to evacuate the guest. So far so the reception team members were the first people to run away from their desk instead of taking care of the guest, when the alarms went off. You are off you own when you stay with them.

This is a convenient hotel for UNCC parents to drop off kids at college. However the 2 issues were charges for parking and daily charges for internet use.

The parking is across the street and it’s not a fixed daily charge. You have to pay every time you drive in and out of the parking garage.

The Internet charge is $10 per day per device. I was charged and once I reviewed the bill- they took the charge off.

I think both charges are exorbitant.

Also, we had the fire alarm go one night that we were there and the whole property had to be evacuated and checked by firemen. The room close to us on the 6th floor had water gushing out of the overhead pipe and flood their room and the hallway.

So overall though it is a great property, there’s issues that need to be rectified.

Highly recommend the property. It is right on campus. And walking distance to a grocery store and many restaurants. And it is right at the train station if you need to take public transportation.

Hotel smells great, is clean, cool and inviting. Beds in handicapped accessible room were comfortable but very low. Barn door in doorway of bathroom doesn't open wide enough to allow access for a motorized wheelchair.
