We stayed in a two bedroom two bathroom unit with common area made up of a living area, dining table, and kitchen. The two queen room had one walk-in closet, a bathroom, and a stacked washer/dryer. They provide laundry detergent. The king room had two walk-in closets. There is a bathroom next to it. It was nice not needing a key. We entered a code on a keypad to access the elevators. And another code on a keypad to enter our unit. While we would have liked to have been closer to the French Quarter, this ended up being a better choice away from the crowds but still close to everything. Also, we never had a problem finding parking for our rental car. It was free overnight on the street and we just took note of the parking code to pay it via app at 8am every morning except Sunday. We would stay again and highly recommend! Side note: One elevator was out a few days. I’m not docking the rating for this because it happens. They responded right away, and while it took a while to be fixed (it was the holiday week), we had no long waits.

We stayed here for 6 nights over Easter. This was our second stop on our USA holiday after New York and we were blown away by how spacious it was. Lounge room and full kitchen including a proper oven (I cooked a full roast dinner for Easter Sunday). Lovely bathroom, huge walk in wardrobe and bedroom. The bed was super comfy! There was a washing machine and dryer which we appreciated and used. There was a small pool but a couple of people there so not much available in the way of pool furniture to sit/lie on. Everything was very clean and clear instructions on stations set up on various floors to get extra washing power, coffee pods, toiletries or toot rolls if needed. It’s about a 15 - 20 minute walk to French Quarter, may be less for some (we’re in our sixties). Not too far to walk to Canal street eating options. Someone said the area is a bit dodgy at night but we didn’t think so. It’s a bit quiet and probably the furtherest I’d be from the FQ but felt totally safe. If it was 5-10 minutes closer to FQ I’d give it 5 stars but with our poor Aussie dollar conversion to USD it was affordable for us and all in all very good value.

Really pleased with our first stay at Sonder 1500 Canal. Space was nicely decorated and the kitchen was well stocked. Bed was comfortable and the bathtub/shower were huge. We did have the following suggestions which were shared with Sonder via the app: - Bathroom sinks need stoppers - Shower temp control needs attention - Refrigerator water dispenser runs VERY slow-maybe needs a new filter? - One window in living room needs attention-insulation/filler ***** is hanging down - A nonslip bath mat for the tube would be a good addition -including information that you enter through the Jung Hotel entrance The entire apartment was very clean. We ran out of coffee and laundry detergent, even though it wasn’t in the “essentials” cabinet as promised, one of the housekeepers quickly brought us some. It was great having the streetcar right at the corner, we used LePass to take NOLA mass transit everywhere at a cheap price. We will definitely look at Sonders at other locations in the future. At the price of a Hampton Inn we got a whole apartment!

Booked the Superior 2 bedroom for 4 nights for family of 4. We felt that the furniture needed to be upgraded! The beds were hideous. We felt that even some of the pictures on the walls were hideous. It was definitely disappointing! Space was large so that was good. but definitely need to change out the furniture!

Just a terrible stay overall. Pull out sofa was like sleeping on straight springs, no blankets or pillows for it in the room either. When you text the number because you can’t call the response was eventually but no eta can be given. The place had a terrible stench that burned your eyes from whatever cleaning agent they used. Will never stay here again and would not recommend.

Our stay at Sonder at 1500 Canal had its ups and downs, but overall, it was mediocre. While there were several positives, the negatives left us questioning whether we would return. The Positives There were many positive aspects to our stay: • Convenient Location: There is a streetcar stop right outside the building. While it might require some patience due to potential waits, it was very handy. The neighborhood felt safe enough, and we had no issues walking back from the French Quarter at night. However, keep in mind that it’s located further down Canal Street, making the walk back longer compared to some other options closer to the Quarter. • Spacious Rooms: The space was the highlight of our stay. We booked a two-bedroom unit, which was huge and allowed us to spread out comfortably. • Kitchen Amenities: The kitchen was well-equipped with modern appliances, a full-sized washer and dryer, and all the necessary tools. • Thoughtful Details: The room had plenty of towels, along with full-sized pump bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The convenience closets allowed us to grab extra supplies easily, and when we requested an extra blanket, they delivered another duvet promptly. • Comfortable Touches: The duvets on the beds were very nice, and the rooms had ceiling fans, which we appreciated. • Wi-Fi and Streaming Options: Although there’s no traditional TV service, they provide a streaming device. We used our own Fire Stick, and it worked seamlessly with the Wi-Fi. • Security and Staff: The lobby was well-staffed, and a doorman at the entrance added a sense of security. • Bathrooms: The bathrooms were spacious, with plenty of hot water and good pressure. The tubs were also generously sized. The Negatives Unfortunately, the negatives outweighed the positives for us, making it unlikely we’d stay here again. • Elevator Issues: The keypad on the elevator was worn out and difficult to use, which was frustrating. • Hallway and Building Condition: The hallways were dirty, and there were large sections of flooring missing, creating a rundown feel. • Cheap Furniture: While the rooms were spacious, the furniture was extremely cheap and sparse. The bedside tables felt flimsy and unstable. The memory foam bed was not very comfortable. • Dishwasher Smell: The dishwasher had a terrible odor, which made us hesitant to use the provided dishes and cutlery. • Lack of TVs: There were no TVs in the bedrooms, which might be a dealbreaker for some. • Terrible Living Room Furniture: The couch was the worst part of the stay. It was cheap, dirty, and incredibly uncomfortable, making the large living room uninviting. The area rug was also thin and felt like a token addition rather than a thoughtful choice. • Unclear Room Categories: We booked a “Superior” two-bedroom unit, but based on the poor quality of the furniture, it felt like we had been given a standard room. When we chatted with the staff, they confirmed we had a standard unit, leaving us u
