I’m writing to share how wonderful our recent stay was on Saturday 28th February through to Sunday 1st March, when my wife and her entire family — 17 of us in total — stayed together. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Daniel, whose friendliness and professionalism immediately set the tone for our visit. He was incredibly pleasant and helpful, and that first impression truly makes all the difference — especially with such a large group. When we all came down for our meal around 5:45pm, Daniel and his colleague went above and beyond to look after us. Despite a few items on the menu being unavailable, Daniel handled the situation brilliantly. He kindly allowed us to choose alternative meals of a slightly higher value at no extra cost, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. Coordinating 17 people with different orders and requests can’t be easy, yet nothing was too much trouble. His calm manner, efficiency, and genuine desire to ensure we had a great experience did not go unnoticed. I honestly take my hat off to him — I certainly couldn’t have managed a group that size with such ease and professionalism. The service we received was absolutely outstanding, and if we are ever staying in Scarborough again, we would not hesitate to return. Stayed for one night. The noise from the room above was unbelievable - I don’t think the occupants of that room were being particularly noisy, but the floorboards were incredibly squeaky. Room wasn’t the cleanest - particularly the back of the toilet which looked like it’s never been cleaned. Room was very dusty too. Breakfast wasn’t great either - bacon was cold, floor was very sticky. Whitbread are clearly cutting staffing levels to a bare minimum which is impacting on standards. A previously decent chain feels like it’s now the new ‘Travelodge’.

The staff are amazing and go above and beyond to help in anyway possible. I had an issue with a stained mattress protector. This is rare as I use Premier inn alot.

Nice hotel, pleasant staff, let down a little by breakfast. Had to wait quite a while for the hot food to be cooked and wasn’t topped up enough, one person cooking was not enough for a very full hotel at half term! Also guy cooking should have worn some kind of apron not a big thick jumper not very hygienic.
