I booked The Printing Press through Sonder 7+ months ago for a July stay. On May 1, I received a sudden cancellation notice saying the entire building would shut down on May 4. No advance warning, no real explanation—just a refund. Now, comparable options in New Orleans are 30–50% more expensive, and Sonder won’t help cover the difference or offer a voucher. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was placed in an email queue with no follow-up. This has left my group scrambling for a last-minute alternative. I expected much better from a Marriott-affiliated company. Be cautious booking long in advance—Sonder doesn’t have your back if something goes wrong.

Sonder notified me 1 week prior to my check in that they cancelled my reservation. I already paid in full. I had to cancel my trip to New Orleans because of this and missed precious time with my family. Horrible experience with Sonder. Don’t book with them.

Great location with a shortish walk to the city centre, comfy bed and pillows, plenty of good things to enjoy about this apartment. Negatives, shower mixer was rubbish so pressure low, couldn't fill the sink for a shave as plug wouldn't lock and the air con unit was so loud, take ear plugs. I would of given 3.5 stars, 4 is about right

We loved our stay at the Sonder Printing Press! It was a nicely decorated, comfortable property fully outfitted with everything we needed. The building felt secure and the neighborhood felt safe. It was walkable to both Bourbon Street and Frenchmen Street and there were many good restaurants even closer, of which we enjoyed Pluck Wine Bar just downstairs, Meril, Restaurant R’evolution and Cochon. Getting into the front gate was a little confusing as the code seems to be one digit short, but just wait a few seconds and it will unlock. Once we figured that out, getting in and out was a breeze.

I absolutely love love love staying here. This has by far been the easiest booking I’ve come across. The location is perfect, the place is always very very clean and I literally have zero complaints. My most recent check in, I was left a note with appreciation because I’ve booked so many times with them. I hope that they remain the same and never change!

Frequent visits to New Orleans have had us in all kinds of accomodations. We stayed in unit 504 - a one-bedroom. The unit was clean and well-appointed for our 5-night stay. Close to a grocery store and CVS as well as restaurants. The unit itself is missing a full-length mirror and some hooks in the bathroom. We had to hang out towels on the coat rack. Additionally, the bedroom doesn't have any window coverings (only Venetian blinds) so when the sun comes up the room is full of light. Typically when you stay in an Airbnb there are basic toiletries. The shower had shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel but there was no soap or soap dispenser at any of the sinks. During our time at the Printing Press, there was a sewage smell on the first floor. The main door to the building was consistently left open, perhaps guests were trying to air the lobby out but in New Orleans, leaving doors open is never safe.

We had a great stay at Sonder. A/C and ceiling fans were very necessary in June. Good location, easy walk to the French Quarter and right by the trolly. There's both a CVS and supermarket with liquor/beer/wine one block away. There's only Chromecast and a HDMI available from the television. Thanks
