I recently stayed at Amargarh Resort in Udaipur and was extremely disappointed with the overall experience. To begin with, the infrastructure of the property is good and visually appealing. The architecture and layout create a positive first impression. However, beyond the appearance, the actual facilities and service fall far below expectations. There was no high-speed internet (WiFi) available, which is a basic necessity in today’s hospitality standards. The conference facilities were also poorly maintained and not suitable for professional or corporate events. Room maintenance and hygiene were major concerns. Hot water in the washrooms was available only for a short time and then stopped. The washrooms were dirty, the toilet got blocked during the stay, and there were water leakages from the taps. In addition, water was not coming properly from the faucet as it was clogged with sand and debris. Such issues indicate serious maintenance and cleanliness problems. The staff appeared inexperienced and were unable to resolve issues efficiently or professionally. Overall, despite the good infrastructure, the resort does not meet the standards of a 4-star property. In its current condition, it does not even deserve a 2-star rating. Significant improvements in maintenance, cleanliness, facilities, and staff training are urgently needed.

I stayed at Amargarh Resort, Udaipur from 16th to 21st Feb as part of a 25-member corporate team. Sharing my individual experience from the stay. To be honest, the overall experience was below expectations, especially considering the positioning and pricing of the property. From the first day itself, maintenance and cleanliness were noticeable concerns. The washroom in my room was not properly maintained, and I came to know that similar issues were faced by others in our group as well. Flush systems were inconsistent, and the overall hygiene did not reflect what one would expect from a resort claiming a higher star category. Housekeeping response was slow. Linen changes were not proactive and had to be specifically requested. While the rooms looked fine at a glance, the detailing and upkeep were not up to standard. Since this was an official offsite, stable Wi-Fi and a functional conference setup were critical for us. Unfortunately, connectivity was unreliable, especially during the first day of meetings. This disrupted our sessions and caused avoidable delays. The conference room setup itself felt basic and not professionally arranged for a corporate group. Basic amenities were another weak area. Items like irons and hairdryers were not readily available and required follow-ups. When provided, the condition of the equipment was not satisfactory. What was more disappointing was the way concerns were handled. While staff would respond when called, most issues required repeated reminders. There wasn’t a strong sense of ownership in resolving guest complaints completely. The food was average. We had hoped to experience some authentic local Rajasthani dishes during our stay, but that didn’t materialize. Overall, for the amount paid for a five-night group booking, the experience did not match the expectations. I would suggest that the management focus on improving hygiene standards, maintenance checks, Wi-Fi reliability, and guest grievance handling—especially for corporate stays. I hope this feedback is taken constructively.

Hi, This is Poornima I booked Amargarh Resort from 16th Feb to 21st Feb for our official team get-together. We were a group of 24–25 people, staying for five nights, with a mix of single, double, and triple-sharing rooms. I am sharing this review so that anyone planning to book this resort understands how critical it is to read genuine feedback before making a decision. ❌ Room & Washroom Hygiene The washrooms were extremely dirty across multiple rooms. • Flushes were not working • Toilet pots were waterlogged • The condition was so unhygienic that it was unpleasant even to use or look at Several team members repeatedly complained to me about this, which was embarrassing as the organizer. ❌ Linen & Housekeeping Although the rooms looked neat at first glance: • Bedsheets and linen were not changed • They were replaced only after repeated requests This is unacceptable for a hotel claiming to be four-star. ❌ Basic Amenities Missing • There was only one iron for nearly 25 rooms, and that too was provided only on request • The iron was damaged, taped with cellotape, sparking when plugged in, and unsafe to use • Hairdryers were not available in rooms and had to be repeatedly requested Honestly, this property does not even meet two-star standards, let alone four-star. ❌ Poor Issue Resolution Whenever complaints were raised: • Staff would come and pretend to address the issue • Problems were never fully resolved • The same issues kept recurring throughout the stay This felt more like temporary patchwork rather than genuine service recovery. ❌ Conference Room & Wi-Fi Failure We booked a conference room for two full days, which was the main purpose of our stay. • The conference room looked like a storage godown • Chairs and tables were poorly arranged with white sheets thrown over them • Wi-Fi did not work at all, making it impossible to use the projector Despite multiple complaints, we received working Wi-Fi only on the second day around 2:30–3:00 PM, rendering almost the entire conference useless. ❌ Unprofessional & Rude Management The manager’s behavior was extremely rude and unprofessional. When we asked for compensation (rightfully so, after paying nearly ₹5 lakh, with only ₹1.54 lakh pending): • We were told, “If you had problems, you should have checked out and gone elsewhere.” • This was shocking, considering 80% of the payment was already done in advance • Expecting 24 people to suddenly relocate is unrealistic and insensitive This is not how customers should be treated, especially corporate groups. ❌ Discriminatory Dining Experience We requested Rajasthani cuisine during meals and were told: • “There is no one available to prepare it.” However, when a foreign group of 20+ guests checked in: • A special table was arranged • Multiple Rajasthani dishes were served This raised a serious concern: 👉 Are Indian guests treated differently in their own country? ❌ Harassment During Checkout On the checkout day: • Despite clearing the remaining payment at 3:

The location is at an easy distance from the city. Having a car or scooty is preferable mode of travel. The atmosphere and the room is amazing- classic vibes incoming! Breakfast is satisfactory. The people are also very friendly and helpful.
