didnt stay my sister and i walked in and saw a roach run across the floor right as we walked in the room. Immediately turned around and booked across the street at the hilton.

Had to clean the nightstand with a wash cloth because it had a sticky spill all over it.
Lots of things missing from breakfast - no waffle batter on day 2, no forks/knives available, etc.
Elevators & our hallway smelled like trash.
Hard to find from road at night - sign was hidden by another property.

There was no water pressure in the shower, the sheets smelled weird, and the hotel is too close to the interstate. If your room happens to be on the interstate side, it is noisy. Will not stay here again.

We stayed at the Wingate while spending the weekend at Virginia Tech. The location was convenient, with plenty of restaurants, shops, and amenities within a reasonable distance of the hotel. The bed was comfortable, and the room itself met basic expectations for a short stay.
However, the experience was let down by the front desk staff. On two separate occasions, no one was present at the front desk, and ringing the bell did not bring anyone out to assist. At one point, a staff member’s child was running up and down the halls and through the lobby on the tile floors in socks, which felt unprofessional and distracting.
The pool was closed during our stay, which was disappointing as it had been one of the reasons we chose this hotel. The breakfast wasn’t great, but at least it was available and provided a few basic options to start the day.
Overall, the location was convenient, but the lack of front desk professionalism and unavailable amenities made the stay less enjoyable than expected.

Elevators smelled like cat pee and had alot of mud in them. All the ice machines were broken. Rooms were clean, breakfast was ok.

Air conditioner rattled all night. Spackled walls but never painted them to Match the walls. Bedding was ripped had to ask to have them replaced which they did with no issues

Property was clean and room was in good shape. We were told breakfast was between 7am and 10am. We got there at 9am and half the food pots were not refilled and nobody was attending the area.
