Chair was stained, curtains dirty, bed was comfortable, lobby clean, breakfast was minimal. Ok for an overnight.

The lobby was nice, check in went well, but she told us it was a continental breakfast and there were no eggs. Since we wanted protein, we thought we would have to go out to breakfast. We did discover the next morning that there were egg bites and sausage patties to heat in the microwave. The room was spacious and clean, with a fairly large refrigerator for a hotel, and a microwave.

Americas Best Value Sandman Inn exceeded my expectation. It was clean, quiet, had been upgraded (perhaps in the past year). It is located near a Best Western. The room was clean, spacious, and had a comfortable bed. Check in person was lovely- even though she was also working in the laundry area. The reason for less than a 5 rating include: Towels are thin; the light in the bathroom could be improved- there is a central overhead light in the bathroom, but the tub/shower area is a bit dark. Shower pressure is good. The plumbing is counterintuitive. The faucet has a central dial. Turning the dial to the full counterclockwise position provides the coldest water, while turning it clockwise back towards the starting position makes the water hotter and then turns the water off. Breakfast was basic but with several options, the toaster provided the warm option for solids. I would stay here again.

Overall it was fine but they need to be specific on how much a pet fee is and also our main complaint is our room was right bext to the stairs and all hours of the night there was stomping and doors slamming. Probably wont stay there again.

Unsympathetic.
I cannot say anything positive about this property. We booked on Tuesday night but felt obliged to cancel the reservation midday on Wednesday because one of our group tested positive for Covid. The response from Melissa was unsympathetic, stating that we were going to be charged no matter what.

Great place to sleep :)
We needed a place to sleep while exploring the Pendleton Round Up. This was the perfect place for just that. Friendly staff, easy to get to, right off of I-84. The breakfast is ready to eat food that you cook in the microwave and if that’s not for you, Dennys is right down the road. I really appreciate the front desk receptionist and how helpful they were. I had to print off tickets for the round up and the receptionist was great at helping me get these off my email. For what we needed, this hotel supplied it :)
