What a wonderful resort! The owners, Deanna and Mike are very friendly and helpful. We rented 2 cabins for a family vacation. The cabins were clean and well stocked and easily within walking distance. Both had a very nice view of the lake. It was nice that the air conditioning was already on and the cabins cooled down for when we arrived. We also rented a pontoon boat and that was really fun and very reasonably priced. Deanna did a detailed explanation of the boat and directed us to the best spots on the lake. The lake map was appreciated! The property is well maintained and has some nice walking trails. I appreciated the security of the gate and the keypads to lock the cabin. Very quiet location, near town with grocery stores, etc.

The lake, trees, cabins, lodge, and Class A motorhome camping sites are gorgeous and so peaceful! And the hosts/owners did a wonderful job of suggesting places to visit in the area. This was truly a magical place to decompress and wind down. And their Tuesdays on the Terrace small bands are so much fun!

The Gathering Place Resort is a great lake vacation spot. The cabin we stayed in was comfortable and well supplied for our stay. There were chairs and lounge chairs for sitting by the lake and fire pit. We were next to the swimming area and a dock. Readily available were kayaks and walking trails. It all made for a relaxing easy time. We had and needed little interaction with the owners but when we did they were always friendly and helpful. A big bonus during our stay was “Tuesday on the Porch“. It is a weekly show with good live music and tasty dinners. We had a fun evening sitting outside eating, relaxing and dancing. One note, they ask that you arrive between 4 and 6. They really do try to hold to that so plan accordingly. If you are looking for a low

And the dancing at Tuesday on the Terrace :-) We try very hard to keep our cabins clean and so in between guests, our staff is cleaning and sanitizing thoroughly, which results in the request to check-in after 4. We recently stayed at The Gathering Place for an entire week, as well as hosting our wedding on the grounds and it was everything we wanted it to be! The setting by the lake is serene and peaceful, with abundant wildlife that made every moment feel like an escape into nature. The cabin we stayed in had the most breathtaking views of both the sunrises and sunsets, creating a romantic atmosphere that was perfect for our special occasion. During our stay, we learned how to kayak on the lake, which was such a fun and memorable experience, and gave us a new active hobby to pursue! Deanna was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. She provided excellent recommendations for things to do in the area and truly went above and beyond to make our wedding and mini-honeymoon unforgettable. Her warmth and attention to detail made our entire week feel like a real vacation, If you're looking for a peaceful retreat or a unique wedding destination, I cannot recommend The Gathering enough. It’s the perfect place to relax, enjoy nature, and make lasting memories.

Our family group of 10 spent the week at this amazingly clean and nice cabin with such great amenities. Free firewood, fire pit, kayak and canoe use, fishing and pontoon boats to rent, awesome clear lake. To top it off, the owners (Mike and Deanne) take the time to get to know their guests. Music on Tuesday nights with catered food and bar was amazing as well. We'll be back.

There are not enough stars to give you Deanna and Mike! We spent a wonderful long weekend with 23 in our family. So relaxing, with plenty to do for all our age groups. Time so very well spent! This Nana and Papa see Gathering Place as a real gift! Thanks again!
