Arrived travel weary in very cold weather to the warmest reception . All the staff and management were friendly and helpful and engaged in healthy conversation and we felt at home for pur short but thoroughly enjoyable stay. We will definitely visit again and recommend to our family and friends. Pristine clean accommodation , fabulous breakfast menu selection and a great atmosphere.

I've stayed here a couple of times now after works events. The rooms are above a pub but fear not, it's a good pub and not silly noisy! The staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and very well presented, breakfast is great and what you need to start your day. The owner is a lovely guy who gives you the time of conversation, everyone here is happy to help. They know your name and greet you accordingly. The bar of the pub is very well stocked with plenty of selections too. I'm a malt whiskey drinker and they didn't disappoint either. I'll be very happy to stay here again, it ticks all the boxes I need for an overnighter and I'm sure it will work for you too.

We had a lovely stay at the Bell welcome from reception to breakfast the staff are lovely, the room was warm and the bed was very comfortable breakfast was well cooked and service was good, we will definitely book again if we are in Peterlee

This is a 100 yr old property that has been updated but a while ago. The rooms are small but the owner/staff was excellent and the stay was enjoyable. They included a made to order breakfast. Peterlee is a little out of the way but matched where we were going. Just stayed one night.
