In a word fantastic! Viraggas is beautifully situated in nature. The outside area is beautifully overgrown with various flowers and plants. It looks neatly cared for, as do the rooms. Vasillios and Adina do everything to make you feel comfortable. The breakfast is very good. Every morning we had a surprise. We also had dinner every evening at Viraggas. Simply because Vasillios cooks very well. You get pure food. He has designed an app himself for what there is to see in the area. We have benefited a lot from this. We had a wonderful stay at this fairytale location 🤩 This small hotel is surrounded by the forest and it has a sort of magic to it. A lot of attention to details has been given to the interior and outside design. We loved the absolute cleanliness of the house and the atmosphere in the garden as we enjoyed, several times, the elevated menu creations of Vasilis ( which we also highly recommend). You definitely need a car in order to explore the surroundings. Around 20 minutes drive there is a very big and quiet sand beach with beautiful clear water. A lot of suggestions about what to visit came mainly from Vasilis and Adina. A big advantage of this location in the summer is the fact that you can sleep without air conditioning. The temperature difference when compared to the seaside resorts is significantly lower and more pleasant. To conclude: This place is really ideal if you don’t like crowded places, don’t mind driving a bit to the nearest beach and appreciate home-made food.

Strong is the temptation to keep for myself this wonderful guesthouse. Lover of nature, authenticity, architecture, history, or just desperate for a refreshing place will fall in love with this house.

Although the hotel owners were pleasant and helpful in every respect, we were disappointed with several things about our stay there. We know people have different preferences to bed hardness/ softness, but we found them to be very hard and slept badly. We realised from the description that The hotel was in traditional Marcedonia style but the bathrooms were very dark and the lighting hardly sufficient to wash and shave.The lounge area for guests to relax in is like a museum and difficult to relax in as even the coffee table etc had antique pieces on you were worried about moving. As for the closest beach being 15minutes away…a joke. If you stick to speed limits i would say more like 30 minites. When booking this holiday the description told us the swimming pool (Plunge pool) would not be open for the first 5 Days of our 12 day holiday….the pool was not filled till the day before we left! If we had known this we would definitely have not booked this holiday! Finally if you book a meal at this hotel, try and get an estimate first as you wont normally know the cost till after you have had your meal and for us they were the most expensive meals we had during our stay! Really surprised and a little suspicious it has such good reviews!

It is sad that colonialist notions are maintained nowadays with false politeness, hypocrisy and above all envy. Thank you for allowing the TripAdvisor's public to see it so clearly and judge accordingly. I don't think you are doing any harm to "Viraggas" with your comment as you intended, just because you made a booking that didn't suit you from the very first moment. With today's technological capabilities, you should know from the beginning with absolute precision where you are going and where the nearest beach is. It should also be known beforehand that in our rooms no matter how much you search, you will not find a kitchenette, as you did when you entered. I am certainly not sorry at all that we tried to help you in the best way by giving you the option to choose for better access of your wife, the room that is criticized here and of course you accepted gladly. As for your review of the living room, having a (coincidentally an authentic English) priceless Art Nouveau coffee table splashed all over with your tea has nothing to do with relaxation. Maybe a pool would be the solution but as I explained to you, due to the flowering of the linden and the wind, it was not possible to keep it clean. In nowadays, spending 15 to 20 Euros per person for bread, salad, food and wine, is the most expensive? Which is the cost in UK or Spain and South France where you are going so often as you mentioned many times? Finally, regarding your implication about our visitor's positive comments, you are a tiny minority to insult them, especially when they are coming from 50 different countries. I will not miss to thank your lovely wife for the amazing review that she wrote in our visitor's book and it is 100% opposite of yours here in TripAdvisor. I sincerely wish you, since the light in the bathroom of our room was so low, that you find a real light in you that will prevent you from any bad choice of thinking and acting.
