Not great, see photos of filthy bath and mouldy fridge. Extremely disappointed as thought as at least the bathroom would be cleaned. Arrived to my horror to find clogged hair, been there for sometime, in the plug hole. Needless to say I could not use the bath. Opened the fridge for a cold drink and it was mouldy. Kettle could do with a descale. Advertised restaurant closed - just as well. If that's what I can see, couldn't sleep for thinking what other areas of the hotel were filthy that I couldn't see. Skipped breakfast and checked out.

This is a hotel that has seen better days. Owing to its proximity to the main road the rooms facing the road are noisy. The hotel doesn’t have reception out of working hours so guests arriving in the evening will face a reception desk with their name on a letter and the room key with a breakfast form to fill. I saw a couple of other letters and keys on the desk). In addition to potential safety issues, this is not very welcoming. Needless to say that there would no one to address any issues you may have upon arrival. I stayed in an outside room. It was clean and had a working TV and good internet connection. It was however adjoining a private property with several dogs howling and barking non-stop well into the early hours (after 02:00) with load TV on the whole night. This was by far my worst hotel stay of 2025 (and I travel a lot). The breakfast was passable. Overall, unless there are urgent improvements to address these issues, I’d advise against staying in this property.

We never saw anyone, the keys were left on a desk in an envelope with my name on it and instructions to get to our room. Once in our room it smelled damp and stuffy with cobwebs & spiders on the bathroom window and in the corner by the bed. It’s a shame because the room was in good shape but just needed a bit of love. The whole experience felt a bit like we were in Twin Peaks, it was more like an Airbnb in an ex hotel as we never come across another soul and somehow felt a bit eerie!

Lovely Hotel, amazing decor our room, Minsmere, was spacious and very comfortable with a great shower. A little niggle was no decaf. coffee in the room. Breakfast was freshly cooked and presented.
Our third stay at Satis House and we will definitely stay there again.

Room was a little eclectic- but nicely decorated a nd clean. Was in one of the sheds which was OK, but I feel if you are advertising a Georgian house, you should make clear that you don't actually stay in it.
Breakfast was a little chaotic- feels like another member of staff needed. Despite booking in for 9, didn't get breakfast until 9.30, and tea wasn't come. Hardly saw any staff member. There were only five or six in the restaurant.
Beyond that it was a fairly reasonable stay-

Unique hotel with delicious breakfast.
Unique, eclectic boutique hotel. Possibly not for you if you find taxidermy uncomfortable or really love level floors! This is an old building with lots of personality. Very helpful and accommodating staff but not obvious where they are so I, and other guests, were often wandering around looking a bit lost. Overall the hotel is a little tired and we struggled to get a hot shower but our room was gorgeous with a huge balcony which was lovely. Breakfast was delicious but again it wasn’t really clear what the process was, we ended up going back out to reception and ringing the bell at which point the chef came out to greet us. It would have been great to have a notice that explained what to do! We would definitely stay again if we were coming to the area.

这家酒店早已过了出售或购买的期限。老板态度恶劣，天花板漏水，客房服务糟糕。我们7月9日的入住体验简直是噩梦。雨水从一楼和二楼的天花板漏下来，灰尘、污垢和水压都很差，这些都是我们最不满意的地方。更糟糕的是老板的侮辱，他错误地告诉我们晚上10:30离开酒店。事情是这样的：我妻子半裸着在浴室里，一个陌生人从楼梯平台打开了门（我们以为门锁了）。他咕哝了几句就走了。她惊恐地回到了我们的卧室。我打电话给经理，被告知：“隔壁那对夫妇整天都惹是生非。交给我吧。”几分钟后，已经是晚上9:30了，我们听到门外传来一阵激烈的争吵。是经理和隔壁的男人。我出去安抚他们俩。看来隔壁的男人进了我们浴室是想检查消防通道：我们这才意识到，我们浴室通往楼梯平台的门一直开着，因为它位于消防通道上。一旦发生火灾，客人会通过我们浴室的窗户，也就是我们浴室那扇没锁的门离开大楼。经理告诉我，那扇门从来没有锁过。“我们以前从未遇到过这种问题，”她说。“你怎么知道？”我回答道。后来，我和妻子上床睡觉时，听到有人敲门。是酒店老板。老板没有像我们期待的那样道歉，而是告诉我们必须立即离开。当时是晚上10点30分。我拒绝了。她坚持要离开。我关上卧室门，回到床上。第二天早上，我离开卧室，希望能和老板谈谈。但周围没有人。昨晚下了雨，我不得不小心翼翼地从许多装满从天花板渗出的雨水的桶里穿过。一楼也是一样。吃过湿漉漉的三文鱼和炒蛋的早餐后，经理再次出现，解释了发生的事情：她告诉了老板，一楼有一对“问题夫妇”。老板以为她指的是我们，所以昨晚让我们离开。经理很同情，答应老板回来后会和她谈谈。那已经是差不多四个月前的事了。我收到了道歉，并承诺退还100英镑，但最终没有兑现。
