I visited Carolina Beach to help me heal from the sudden death of my 36-year-old beloved daughter 6 months ago. I had always stayed with her and her sister at the Golden Sands, but I thought that would just be too painful. I had a wonderful stay at the Hampton Inn for 4 nights in an oceanfront room. I read, sketched, looked at the ocean, and remembered all the good times with my child. All of the staff were great. In particular, I met the restaurant cook in front of the garden out by the pool. I was admiring her lush herbs and she urged me to take anything I wanted. She was lovely.

Staff extra friendly and helpful. Beautiful beach view from our room. Rooms were clean and maintained well through out our stay. Enjoyed hanging out by the Tiki Bar relaxing.

We really liked the convenience and the condition of the hotel. We also appreciated breakfast in the morning and the bar and pool on the deck. However, the mattresses were not comfortable. I also didn’t like the coffee in the bathroom and no microwave in the room. Also not specific to the hotel but we saw lots of cockroaches on the boardwalk. All that being said, we would stay again as long as it was only a day or 2.

Birthday getaway
Celebrated my son’s 18th birthday here. They were so kind from the minute we stepped on property. Room was clean, quiet& cool view of the canal. Being beachfront was a huge selling point for everyone in my family. There is nothing better than having breakfast with a view of the ocean welcoming you to the day.

I was disappointed that there was no computer/internet office on this property as there were in other hampton inns i stayed before.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The tiki bar and firepit are nice touches and one night they had a singer who was really good. The hotel must be well built because you couldn't hear much once in your room. The only negative about my stay was the lack of good restaurants nearby. I did not have a good meal for the three days but that is no fault of Hampton Inn. The restaurants are just not good in this beach town. Its great if you love everything fried and full of salt. A great hotel though!
