I visited this hotel on October 1, 2025. I reserved a room through the choice hotels app, and when I arrived I stated that I had a reservation. It turns out the front desk didn't check me in under my reservation, they checked me in as a walk in. I later noticed two charges from this hotel and after talking with choice hotels customer service they informed me that I was charged $105 for a "no show" reservation and another $105 for the walk in room that I actually stayed in. The room was decent, but my experience with the hotel management hasn't been acceptable. I called the hotel (and so did my bank) to get a refund on the "no show" charge. They claimed there was no such charge despite it being clearly visible on my bank account. I sent an email to the hotel which has gone unanswered and when I now call the hotel, I'm sent straight to voicemail which also goes unanswered. I have plenty of documentation regarding this event and the bank has agreed to dispute one of the $105 charges. Since I wasn't checked in through my reservation, I also did not receive and Choice Privileges Points for my stay at this hotel.

Absolutely disgusting. I don’t write reviews unless it’s imperative to share with others. This place looks just fine on the ******* website, however it’s deceptive. I have never in all my 53 years have ever stayed in anything that was this bad especially after paying $170.00 for one night!!! It was unsafe and definitely not up to code! I will be calling the health department as well as the city code enforcement. I have pictures. I drove 13 hours to help my niece check in to her dorm and had my sister, who is sick with stage 4 cancer with me. I freaked out when I walked in to check in. It was gross!! I was immediately put off, and could not cancel. I called around and every place was at capacity so I had no choice but to stay my sister was exhausted and in pain and needed to lay down. I had to go to cvs to get cleaners and sanitizers before I would allow my sister to lay in the bed or use the bathroom. It was absolutely disgusting!!
The lights would flicker off and on, electric wall sockets didn’t have coverings and had wires exposed, the sheets literally had blood stains on them! This place should NOT have been allowed to be in business! ******* should not have them on their sight and Quality Inn should be ashamed to have their name on this property.
This is more like a rent by the hour place to see TV shows rather than a $170 hotel!

Do not stay here! I checked in and drove around to find my room. Many shady looking men were just lingering around outside and just staring at my car; felt very unsafe so I left and didn’t even stay in the room.

On Wednesday, 6/18/2025 at approximately 10:30 PM checked into Quality Inn Starkville, Mississippi. I had a terrible experience. The man at the desk asked me if I had a reservation. I said yes. He did NOT ask my name. But!!! He handed me a key Then he said he needed to show me to my room. He walked me to my room and opened the door with a master key… Then proceeded walked in the room and turned on the lights. …in other words A STRANGE MAN HAD ACCESS TO MY HOTEL ROOM AND ENTER THE ROOM UNINVITED When the man (hotel employee) left my room, I noticed that there was no latch on the door to lock it. I was confused and did not know how to react immediately. My 16 year old child was with me. So we moved a chair and a desk in front of the door to barricade us in because we were scared and felt violated We then noticed that beds were old and on metal frames There were no bed skirts There was a roach in the bath tub We then made the decision to leave Quality Inn Starkville, Mississippi and we made a reservation at the Hampton Inn! We were very happy at Hampton inn Since this awful experience, I have made multiple attempts to get my money back from quality Inn, Starkville, Mississippi. However, the company refuses to reimburse me. I feel as if I was violated, and I had to pay for it.

There was a mixup for my reservation for my one night stay .. it was cancelled not by me and no fault of the hotel manager or desk clerk it was due to third party resevation company ..The clerk ,manager and i got it all worked out good thing i had my email conformation and my credit card app to show when and when tranactions were done .i had made the 4 hour trip from
west Tennessee to starksville Mississippi with my elder mom for family members graduation they took my information i had a was able to make sure we got a room .She was very nice about the situation told me relax we make sure you have good stay and see your family member walk that stage.upon check out the same two were on duty and asked how our room and stay was and asked about our graduate and wished her best luck for future ..
