We went as a family group of 13 and had a fantastic meal. Service was excellent, food was perfect and drinks flowed nicely. The pub and restaurant was very busy (there was a large 50th birthday also happening), however the service was amazing with no delays or any problems with the food. We often go as a couple of drinks and it’s always just perfect,

The vibe, the food, the staff were all 10/10! Had the surf and turf flatbread and this was insane! The refurb they have done had really made this pub upmarket and will definitely be my new local!

Went for a girlie catch up with friends. We had a table booked for 6pm, we ordered main meals, which to be honest was mediocre...2 of us had the cheese and onion pie, the pastry was overdone, and the beans were dry. After our plates had been removed, we perused the dessert menu. We decided to let our meal settle before ordering desserts. While we were chatting the bill was placed on the table, I asked my friends if we had asked for the bill, and asked the waiter if they had stopped serving, he answered no but we will in a bit. No time was given, we were not asked if we would like more drinks or if we wanted to order from the menu. After another few minutes he appeared with the card machine, and said he wanted all the table bills settling, what about dessert !! the kitchens closed, we paid the bill and asked if he was the manager. he was not. We felt rushed, 'thrown out', Money has recently been spent on refurbishing the Broadoak, it looks amazing, but that's it the food is no longer amazing nor the service. Its a Fast Food Joint... wonder what would have happened had we had a starter & dessert ????? I've been going in the Broadoak for many years, its the end of an era!! wonder how long it will stay open?

The whole point in me booking a room for the Saturday night (5th April 2025), was to attend a friends wedding meal for 15 people, and i wanted to be able to enjoy a few drinks, as i live the other side of Manchester. Just before 10pm, the staff came into where we were eating, and told us they were closing the bar, because there were only a few people in the main bar. If i had known they were going to close the bar so early, i would never have booked the room, and would have had a few soft drinks and driven home. As all my fellow diners were refused any more drinks, and live locally, they simply went home disgusted at the situation. I was left twiddling my thumbs in the bar on my own, so i just went up to my room. When i left the bar, there were still around 10 to 15 young people still sitting in the bar. The room was tired and cold. I eventually found a convector heater in the wardrobe, which i had to balance on a chair - it stopped working after 1 minute. The management clearly expect you to be cold, otherwise, why have the heater in the wardrobe. As a result, i was cold, and got very little sleep. Despite the staff closing the bar at 10pm, i could still hear music playing downstairs in the bar after 11.30pm. When i wanted to leave in the morning, i couldn't get out of any of the doors downstairs - i was locked in. I had to carry my bags back upstairs, and go down the fire escape. I was charged £100 for 1 night - no breakfast included, which is outrageous for this poor level of hotel. In summary - this was an awful experience, and a complete waste of £100, due to the staff simply deciding to close the bar at 10pm on a Saturday night. What a way to treat your customers !! The window blind also needed fixing, as it wouldn't close properly. We all felt the food was excellent, but that's the only good thing to be said about this place. Avoid this hotel like the plague !!

Had a great meal at the Broadoak. Food was amazing and all the staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Good choice on the menu. Would definitely return.
