Stayed 4 nights for work. Staff were amazing and provided a great service. Food was Brilliant and great value! I was happy with my room and all the facilities. Definitely recommend!

We booked for Sunday lunch today as we knew we were passing.We haven’t been for about 10 years. The young lad that served us seemed a bit nervous,he carried the drinks over a bit like Mrs Overall from Acorn antiques.🤣He was lovely though. We had Sunday lunch,it was beautiful! The gravy deserves a mention,it was absolutely delicious and plenty of it.The meat (beef For me) was cooked to perfection,as was the veg,roast potatoes and yorkshires.Really good sized portion too. Definitely recommend,they also deliver with Just Eat! We will definitely be going again and not leaving it 10 years!

Awful Sunday lunch swimming with gravy should have been in a gravy boat hard veg and stuffing. Chef was serving the food with bare hands no-one asks if everything was OK. Bad from start to finish.

We stayed here for one night in August. Comfortable room - in a very pretty village. Dinner was delicious and can thoroughly recommend. I had local sausages, cabbage and mashed potatoes: husband had fish and chips. Portions enormous- make sure you build up an appetite!

Third time of visiting the restaurant and Yet Again, most items on the menu are sold out. I wont be patronising the place again came out for a meal with friends and sat eating a plate of chips. The third time no menu choice. Don't bother if you want a variety or chips. Badly managed stocking I hasten to add we weren't the only table that was let down by not having a choice Disappointed

First the good points. We were going to be late so they took our order for food over phone to do when we arrived. Food was good and plentiful. Room spotlessly clean. Lots of plugs, hanging facilities adequate for clothes. Bathroom clean if a bit small but great shower. Breakfast good but had to serve ourselves and no offer of cooked breakfast other than hot sausages and boiled eggs. Also not very organised or clear where everything was but once I found it all it was good. Nice direction of fruit, yoghurts, cheese, bread etc. This is second time we stayed and last time we were in seperate rooms in car park area. But this time we were in main building. Up flight if narrow steers. Unbelievably HOT room. Fan provided but still so hot. Breakfast room hot- only one window open. Totally oppressive. Avoid Room 4- above kitchen so too hot. Beds comfy, seperate duvets provided. Towels big and fluffy. Staff were lovely. Coped well with my GF issues. So nothing really to complain abt but too hot-and no it wasn’t a baking hot day so God knows wat it was like in recent heatwave.

What a delight. The pub/motel had enough parking for guests and there electric vehicle charging points near the rooms in the extension. Our room was spotlessly clean and well maintained. We had dinner in the pub/restaurant and discovered that each night has specials and we had two burgers and chips for £15 which were huge and filling. Continental breakfast was included in the price of our stay and there were some hot sausages and beans available as well.

We did not stay in the hotel but visited for a meal on Saturday night while staying locally. I emailed prior to visiting due to diet requirements, and this was responded to promptly by the chef. We was provided with a separate menu with great gf options. Both had fish and chips one gf, and it was amazing! Great food and service!

A really super stay. The staff are wonderful. Room was very clean accessible and comfortable. Had a great nights sleep, lovely bed and spotless bed linen. Plenty of convenient parking. Food was great. I will certainly look to stay again if I’m in the area.

We've had better and had worse, the food could've been more flavoursome. The service overall wasn't very great even though they were quiet, we had to keep getting up. No one came back to check if our meals were ok or if we needed anything else or if we'd finished and wanted dessert, etc. Maybe we were unlucky and went at the wrong time, such a shame.
