We didn’t actually stay at this hostel. We had booked a sleeper bus from Phong Nha to DaNang and was told the pickup would be from Green Riverside Cosy Home. When we arrived the buscompany wasn’t coming so the amazing lady in the reception started helping us by calling them and researching. After she had talked with them she walked with us to the road they would pick us up from and waited with us until they arrived. If I come back to Phong Nha I know where I will be staying because of the amazing service!

Firstly, this is a hotel for very young backpackers who live in the hostel dorms. The private rooms are huge and clean enough, but could still use a good scrub. The owner Linh pushes her tours. I did Abandoned Valley E Cave and Golden Cave through her. Again, if you’re looking for a young backpacker, tour guide blasting music through the forest kind of experience, it’s fine.

This was my first experience in a home stay in Vietnam. It was a wonderful experience, the staff are the family who live there and they are friendly and provide helpful information. We stayed with the sister homestay which is just behind, known as garden house homestay. The rooms are clean and tidy, with good bathroom. I stayed with 2 others. Passing through on our motorcycle trips. We enjoyed lovely dinners with the family. All in all, I would recommend this homestay if you would like an authentic Vietnamese experience

Excellent homestay to base yourself in if you are exploring the caves or Phong Nha. We arrived and the owner, Linh advised us on the best cave trips to suit us - and helped to arrange all the booking, transport and our onward travels. Thanks to Linh we had an unforgettable 3 days of caves in Phong Nha! She is so generous and kind! The hostel is clean and comfortable. The family dinner is a great vibe, relaxed and a nice chance to chat with travellers and swap stories of where you’ve been. We hired scooters from Next door to the hostel, and used the Cosy Home bicycles, so it was very easy go get around - it is only a short ride into the centre. Highly recommend for a solo or couple traveller.

Easy to find. It’s located beside a river. But far from center. So difficult to find a restaurant or small store. You must walk about 1.5-2km if you want to buy something. Quiet. But a little smelly and old. Food is very expensive. Too much mosquitoes, especially in night time.

Beautiful hostel, beautiful area, owner Linh is an absolute hero who will go above and beyond for you. This woman is a machine she is on the go 24/7 catering for all her guests needs!! Family dinner is a beautiful meal also and a beautiful experience to meet new people. Highly recommend the abandoned valley tour which Linh will tell you about

Extremely luxurious room for the price, and all the better due to the host Linh, who helped us with all our questions and needs. We showed up early, after taking an overnight train and we’re greeted with a home cooked breakfast, and a suggestion to go on a day trip to the Roc Mon Cave. We spontaneously agreed, and it was so fun! So, definitely take her up on any activities she suggests, she won’t lead you astray.

What an amazing stay. Linh was the best host, lovely, attentive and very accommodating. She was always easy to contact if you needed anything and helped us organise everything for our short stay, from the coolest cave tour to the sleeper bus for our next journey. She also offers family dinners which we highly recommend as you can get delicious Vietnamese food easily. Linh made sure that we were well looked after, and made it a smooth and fun stay in Phong Nha. Her homestay was very relaxed and had a lovely family atmosphere. It was a great place where you can chill out, so if you’re looking for that kind of stay, this one is for you. Our room was beautiful to stay in and the homestay is close to the river so you can get some amazing views just a short walk away. Overall, this place has everything you need, and we would highly recommend! Would definitely stay again.
