Clean room, friendly check-in. For the price, exactly what I expected, a great for an overnight stop to sleep and move on.

TV didn't work. Room took until 1 AM to cool. Bed was okay but sheets were worn. Smell, hard to describe maybe like bug spray.

Shower did not work
Booked and checked in late. Room was extremely hot but a/c worked to cool it down. Tried to shower but only the tub faucet worked so we were not able to shower! Very disappointing. No one was at the front desk to mention that to in the morning.

Not a good night
A man walked into our room at 10 pm while we were laying on the bed, how I don’t know the door was shut! We double locked the door then at 4 am someone locked on our door after ignoring that the same thing happened again at 5am. My husband got up and yelled- what do you want? We got up and left at 7am . Told the lady at the desk, she said sorry!

The room was bare bones and not great. It was hard to get it warmed up and it was really super cold when I was there (partially why I was there too- I had to stop for sub zero weather). Yeah the whole town is honestly not welcoming or nice. I stayed one night at this place. I wanted to just wait in their lobby a little (can't remember what for but I just wanted to wait for something) and they were very adament I could not. They acted like I had "cooties" or "germs". As I was getting my bags out of the car, the Front Desk Staff watched my every move and it really stressed me out BAD. The room did not have decent electrical outlets and just was very substandard. But the staff was worse. I felt highly pressured by this staff, and who can have a relaxing night if the staff is pressuring them? I don't recommend the hotel and I don't recommend the town either. Keep on going - if you need a nicer town there is a little town of Winfield, KS south of them which is much nicer (much!). Do skip Arkansas City though - they are a little like El Dorado.
