A really nice backpackers hostel. The rooms were well put together and warm during the winter. Lots of space in the kitchen and lounge and bathrooms are being renovated. Staff were really helpful and hospitable - I'd stay here again, for sure. One of the most comfortable places I have stayed on my trip through NZ.

Had the pleasure of staying at the happy apple for a few nights over my trip. Such a chilled out hostel with great facilities. Rooms are basic but have all necessities. Huge outdoor area perfect for chilling out after all the local adventures
