酒店回复: Dear ChristinaYour harsh words are byond fair or just. Your arrival during a heavy rain storm after 10:30 pm was coordinated through a series of emails, text and phone calls. The door was indeed left unlocked for you and we had to stay up until you checked in. Our doors are monitored and locked up after all guests checked in for the night. Your review is the words of an angry person. I hope the rest of your trip to your destination was successful and cut it for you. And we are not B&B, we are a boutique hotel, it stated on your booking confirmation. You are local, from Aroostook county, so allow me to suggest: stay at bigger establishments, like Hamptons Inn for example, when travelling locally to avoid being disappointed with little guys like us and spare us some poor treatment.

We stayed two nights at the Munroe Inn Bed & Breakfast, a lovingly refurbished historic home in Auburn, Maine. This is a great location from which to visit and explore places in Portland, Brunswick, New Gloucester, and beyond. Our rooms were quite clean and the beds very comfortable. The proprieter, Olga, is quite the chef and has mastered the breakfast delights of the many places she has visited in her world travels. It's a fun place to stay.

Stopped over in Maine on the way to the Bay of Fundy. The Inn is a historic landmark and is very lovely. Our host Olga was wonderful. She had great advice for places to eat. We really enjoyed the experience instead of a typical motel as a stop over.

Nice little get away
It was a quaint inn with an amazing keeper who was very informative about what is going on in the area and she recommended a great place to eat breakfast.

I have to say this was not my favorite B and B, and we have stayed in many! A positive is that the bed was comfortable. But so many things go to the negative side: 1. We had a hard time finding the proprietor despite telling her exactly what time we would arrive. Some sort of bell or buzzer would have been helpful. 2. Despite it being called a "Bed and Breakfast", you had to pay extra for the breakfast. I've never had that happen before. 3. The breakfasts were sparse, and, although I get that the proprietor was trying to offer something different, she should have had some regular offerings for those who are not adventurous. There was no juice, no muffins or extra fruit, etc. There was a nice yogurt and jam appetizer, and then the main meal. No bacon or meats, no toast, etc. And she had a European coffee maker that was extremely difficult to figure out. Even though we asked for regular coffee the second morning, she insisted on using the machine for a cup of coffee that Hubby didn't like. 4. The room temperature was controlled at 70 degrees. We had no control over the temperature. When I explained that I like my bedroom a cold 60 degrees for sleep, she assured me that it would feel cold. It did not. 5. I get that it's a Victorian house, but no one likes an old fashioned bathroom. Nothing was convenient, especially that there was no place to put anything down. A small table or counter would have been a good addition. 6. Sad to say, but what finally put me into the "I won't come here again" category: Someone asked the proprietor where she was from, and she answered "Ukraine". And that launched a very long political discussion that I feel had absolutely no place while trying to have a pleasant breakfast.

We love to stay at the Munroe Inn; we have been staying there every trip to Maine for the last three years. It offers the old charm of a historic building with the modern conveniences of a hotel, making it unique because of the warm hospitality of the innkeeper, Olga. When exploring Maine for leisure, staying at B&B, in our opinion, is a way to go and essential to experience Maine as a place where "the way life should be" (Maine's motto). We recommend sampling Olga's breakfasts: delicious and healthy; she would even make it for early birds like us at 6:30 am! We appreciate the quiet setting of the Inn in the city's downtown, close to all major routes we want to visit. We experience the Inn in a new way every time we come, appreciating that each day starts and ends with ease and positive vibes. Thank you, Olga!

This is a great historic home. The owner was very friendly and kind. Only complaints were no tissue in the bathroom, and house was quite cold.

酒店回复: Hi DavidThank you for your kind review! Your stay was in early October (8-10) and I am surprised that you were cold- guests were still using AC to cool their rooms. May be your AC was set on too low?

Great place to stay ! Is in very good condition and the owner is so nice and kind ! We will be back!
