Went to the crossways for a family Sunday roast. We were unfortunately very disappointed. I had the beef came with four small roast potatoes, one tiny parsnip, a homemade yorkshire pudding and gravy already on the plate. I will add that the beef was beautifully cooked. The pork which my mum ordered came with no pork crackling or parsnip.... My son's chicken was wrapped in bacon and came with the same as the beef. The vegetables were plain unseasoned and boiled, (beetroot, swede, cauliflower, carrots), they were just in a puddle of water... 3 roasts and 3 drinks came to nearly £70, for this price i would expect alot more. Very disappointed and won't be returning for a roast again.

The 3 star review is a tricky one as the live entertainment (band called dT8) were really good. We decided to go for dinner beforehand and the food was just ok, and the prices are too high for the quality of what we all had. Service was good and like I say the dancing and singing afterwards was good. We'd go back if the band were again but we wouldn't eat there again.

Room was clean today and comfortable. Stayed for 2 nights and ate both evenings. Not an extensive menu but the food was reasonably priced and tasty

Sunday dinner, very average, pork belly very poor and very small about 3 inches long and 1 inch wide mostly fat. Nut roast soggy. No extra gravy. Vegetables ok Not likely to return

Staff, food, beer and atmosphere excellent. Sadly we needed an early night but every time a door closed down stairs it made our room door vibrate loudly. We weren’t able to get to sleep until the pub downstairs closed. For this reason we wouldn’t stay again.

Lovely pub, great choice of beers, larger & ale. Food is decent. Staff friendly. Proper local. Been several times & constantly good. Their's a camp site if you fancy a stay & the beer festival is brilliant.

We stayed at the pub’s adjoining camp site with family and friends. The pub was lovely! Food was delicious and the service really friendly. The site is great with large, level pitches and the shower block and toilets were excellent . We would definitely recommend a visit and hope to go back.

Great Short break
Fantastic lively pub, well located in rural Somerset.
Excellent food, with great choices of Evening Meal.
Continental breakfast was superb.
All staff were wonderful, cheerful and hard working, with a special mention for Hannah.

A superb pub with rooms and a great atmosphere
What I think is some sort of old coaching inn with a great car park a nice garden, a pizza oven in the garden and a outstanding selection of beers and ciders. A great base for exploring inland Somerset.
