The hotel is in good location, good access to restaurants nearby. Comfy bed and clean bedding. Room on arrival appeared to have not been checked, bin had not been emptied in bathroom, toilet seat needs replacement. Walls need a paint touch up, refresh. It was functional for one night. I would say that more effort needs to go into checking small details, like the carpet needs to be hoovered. The heating panel doesn't connect up with radiator, if it got cold then that wouldn't work. The room was too hot in morning, when temperature has been not that cold. Plus, on arrival window had been left wide open making it very difficult to close. I would say put a water station rather than vending machine, in the main reception that people can access. Where works are taking place you can't hear the noise going on.

For what we paid, we really couldn't fault our stay. The location is fine - dead easy to find and access, and within a couple of miles of the town centre. The free parking was plentiful and less than half full during our stay. Check in was swift and efficient. - the staff we met were all professional, friendly and a credit to the chain. Our room was spotless, well maintained and more than adequate. Nice to have two easy chairs and a large walk in shower. We were rather surprised to only have one bath towel and one hand towel between us, but the receptionist quickly supplied us with more. The complimentary basic breakfast items were a welcome surprise addition, due to the restaurant being refurbished. We would not have used it anyway, so no concerns there. Our room remained rather hot (in December!), staying at mid twenties degrees whatever we did with the heating unit. The window only opened a couple of inches so I can only imagine that summer stays would be extremely unpleasant. Overall we had a good stay, we slept well and would happily return for a similar price. Just not in August!

This premier is a good location for what we need. I understand there are works going on but it would have been better if breakfast was put outside our door as we don’t always get up early on our leisure days

I recently stayed at this hotel at short notice. The hotel room was clean, the shower was excellent and the bed was comfy. The lady on the reception named Charlotte was very helpful with assisting in local directions. 5*

The staff were all brilliant but Charlotte in particular stood out for her effort and attention to detail. The room was perfectly comfortable, location fine, lack of restaurant understandable.
