Our room was located directly above where the DJ was playing until 2am. Worst accommodation I have ever stayed in. Description in ******* did not match the room type, no mention anywhere relating to loud music playing all night . Shared bathrooms with showers that were dirty and mouldy. Staff members did try to help but were unable to offer alternate rooms,. Still waiting for my refund. Do not stay here .

About what you can expect from a hotel, tv aircon and fridge in the room is better than most tho.

It was nice and clean, great Staff but super loud and unfortionatly puke all over the Barth room and cold showers. I guess thats what you get in Hotel but it was disappointing cause it is a clean and well staffed place

Staff and food were great.
Room was tiny, bathroom was dirty with things people had left behind. No hotwater in mens bathroom.
Room keys seem to fit all locks, as we had someone come into our room not long after we had gone to bed.

Room was clean and pretty basic which was what we expected. Unfortunately shared bathrooms not so clean and both nights there was loud music until late. Access before 10am by a rickety fire exit. I'd look for somewhere else next time.

Stayed here for 3 nights (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) a couple of weeks ago. This hotel has an interesting history Built in 1881 it was known as The Commercial Family hotel. 1n 1897 the new licensee changed the name to Imperial hotel. In 1976 it sold to new owners for $200,000 It sold again in 2022 for $18.5 million. When I booked i requested a quiet room. I was given room #10 which was at the end of the meandering hallyway,far from men's toilets and kitchen area. Friday night there was a band and the bar opened until 3am. I could swear that my room was directly above where they were playing and the music was loud Next to my room door was the fire/ after hours entry which was also popular with the smokers and the door would bang everytime time it was used. At around 6:30am Saturday morning the evacuation alarm sounded, I think someone was smoking in their room as the corridor smelt of cigarettes. The room itself was basic but the bed ,pillows etc were very comfortable There was a TV, fridge, tea coffee facilities, ceiling fan and aircon. The windows were screwed shut. Male bathrooms clean and looked fairly new. Kitchen area was a bonus It had a large fridge with freezer, microwave and air frier Personally I just found the upstairs accommodation area very dark and in my case noisey Proximity to shops etc is good and walking distance I doubt that I'd stay here again
