Favorite lodging on the Peninne Way!! We were greeted by Karen and she helped us with our wet gear. We really enjoyed out stay at Frith Lodge. Our only regret was having to leave!! Great shower! They did an amazing job with the renovation. Lovely room, wonderful meals and great hosts!

Can’t say enough good things about our experience. We stayed here on our 2nd day of walking the Herriot Way, which meant we had conquered the Great Shunner Fell! The lodge is a little over a mile from Keld, and the first part of it is a bit steep. We were really tired but the climb was worth it. Gorgeous room, fabulous view, extremely kind and hospitable hosts, and unbelievably delicious food. We would stay here again without question.

Almost ran up the lane to race an approaching storm. Grouse and pheasant and sheep everywhere. Made it and was welcomed by Karen. I was so relieved to be there in such a beautiful place where every need was thought of especially for a through hiker on the Coast to Coast. Worth every extra step to get there.

We stayed at Frith Lodge as part of our coast to coast walk. It is a beautiful lodge surrounded by stunning countryside. Neil and Karen were the most warm and welcoming hosts providing high quality accommodation and delicious food. We didn’t want to leave! Their many 5 star reviews are well deserved and I would absolutely recommend a stay here.

What an incredible place to stay! This is a remote, refurbished barn making it a very unique B&B. Plan you trip to stay here-you will not regret it. This was a favorite overnight on the C to C. 10 out of 10

Fabulous location, great for walkers and cyclists. Karen and Neil are fantastic hosts. Food spot on as always. Great atmosphere at mealtimes sharing the communal dinner table with guests from near and far. Have already booked for next year.

What an amazing place Frith Lodge is. This was our second visit, first on Coast to Coast and this time on Herriot's Way. Our walk this time was dependent on us staying here as we wanted to share this amazing place with our American family. Karen and Neil are perfect hosts and work tirelessly to provide fantastic hospitality. We were greeted with smiles and nothing was too much trouble for them. Perfect place to stay.

Off the main track which in our opinion makes Frith Lodge all the more special. Karen and Neil welcomed us with homemade cake and tea. The communal areas and meals meant we got share wonderful adventures with other walkers. We met Amanda and Timothy (legends) who have been visiting Frith Lodge for 10 years and it is easy to understand why. Their, Karen and Neil's stories of adventure and walks mean that we will be back for sure - an inspiration. The accommodation and food was exceptional 10 out of 10. The attention to detail in everything, care for dietary needs/cooking/presentation and the sheer amount of work that Karen and Neil put into Frith lodge to make it the magnificent place that it is and shows their passion. All this made it a truly unique experience on our coast to coast. Thank you.
