Disappointing stay given the lack of notice about the pretty major construction work going on at the site. Cement everywhere and no peace. No space to chill in the grass as per photos. Felt like I was getting a bit mugged off by the owner on the cost of some elements. I can’t fault the surf instructors. They were amazing and all super friendly, supporting and made me feel at ease in the water.

We loved our stay at Mao Mao surf. Cara and the other staff are so helpful and do anything and everything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. They kept us well fed (those banana and Nutella pancakes - WOW), booked us surf lessons and tours (last minute thanks to our lack of planning) and decorated our room beautifully for our honeymoon. We also love Cara’s adorable pet cats and dogs. It’s so nice seeing animals that are healthy, happy and are so friendly. We definitely recommend staying at Mao Mao for an unreal experience at an affordable price.

Harmonic place with great kitchen, service minded personnel and friendly owners. We came here couple of times for a breakfast and a lunch. Their Carnivore Pancakes were beautifully served and very tasty! As well as sallad made of fresh fruits. We really enjoyed both food and coffee. Personnel also helped us to book an individual excursion in spite of the fact that we were not staying at the place. We highly appreciated both food and the service! We will be back!
