This was a convenient place to stay while attending a four day retreat at the nearby Barbara Harris Retreat Center. Jarvis answered all questions and did his best to make my stay extremely pleasant. I appreciated the firm mattress, hot shower and modern bathroom in the Romeo & Juliet room. Breakfast included fresh fruit, yogurt, muffins and prepared food on the weekend. The antique furnishings and charming ambiance made up for the creaky stairs and slanted floors.

We had such a wonderful experience. The communication from Jarvis, the owner, was excellent leading up to and during our stay. The inn is stunning. It is set in a small town winter wonderland - comfy rooms, beautiful porch, delicious breakfast. Jarvis and the innkeeper, Carla, could not have been kinder. The inn is less than 15 minutes to Crotched Mountain, where my daughter skied for the first time. We would love to come back in the spring or summer to hike or bike. I highly recommend the Greenfield Inn.

Absolutely loved the Greenfield Inn!! Jarvis, the owner is such a polite and helpful young man, with great hospitality. I apologize for not remembering his Inn Keeper's name , she is lovely, pleasant and helpful. The house is done beautifully. I highly recommend this B&B if you are traveling the area or are looking for a new spot to visit.

This was such a pleasant stay! We stayed here for our annual NH trip, along with my 3-year-old son. The room was a good size, we had our own bathroom across the hall and the mountain view from the window was beautiful! Make sure you take the time to eat breakfast on the porch - so relaxing! It was truly a home away from home. Carla, the Innkeeper, was such a pleasure to be around. She took the time to interact with each guest and even read to my son. This truly is a hidden gem in Greenfield. So worth the stay if you get the chance!

We stayed one night for a local wedding. Our room was comfortable, and the innkeeper accommodating. Breakfast was tasty, varied and ample. They have just finished up a complete ground-up rebuild of the front porch on this 1815 building, which is what another recent reviewer was no doubt referring to. All of the work was complete other than some minor detail carpentry, and the porch was a comfortable place to sit and sip iced tea on a balmy summer afternoon. Do not be discouraged by that unpleasant review. We would happily visit again if in the area.

I’ve been going to the Greenfield Inn 3 or 4 times each year for the past 5 years. I’ve always stayed at a typical hotel until I realized how difficult it was to be in a small room with someone who has a different sleep schedule. The Inn is comfortable enough that I could take a book and sit on the porch for hours or in any of the common areas. Every bed has been so comfortable, so much so that each time I find my new favorite room. The loft is great for times I’ve wanted to cook or bake rather than eating out. But by far what sets the Inn apart from other accommodations is the owner Jarvis and his new Innkeeper Carla. You can’t help but feel comfortable from the moment you speak with them. I’ll continue staying when I visit NH because it’s become a very special memory making Inn.

When I looked at booking this Inn, I should have known better going by the 2 star review everywhere else. I booked with them and then 2 hours later found out that they had construction on site that they did not disclose to their customers, so I immediately canceled this booking as we were traveling with young children and just didn’t want any issues. When you cancel within 24 hours, there is no fee. Thismorning Greenfield tried to charge my card and was denied, Thankfully. First, I had already canceled 2 weeks prior and ALSO they state on their site that they do not charge your card until check-in incase you chose another payment method, that’s not true! They charge the morning before you even arrive. I emailed the owner after trying multiple times to call. Stated everything above and his response was “Your reservation is still showing confirmed, so I'm not sure why you think it was cancelled Minor construction on the house would not put your child in danger at all, so I'm not sure why you think that's a reason to cancel... However since you did not provide us with a valid credit card, I'm not able to charge you the cancellation fee, so please rest assured knowing you have screwed over a small business. Thanks, and please do not book with us again” and then proceeded to call me a Karen and how entitled I was, which couldn’t be further from the truth. Extremely unprofessional and I truly can’t even believe he would speak to someone that way. This new owner is awful, wish they never sold this Inn to him. Go elsewhere! Don’t even bother staying here.
