There were several asian lady beatle bugs (they look like lady bugs) all over the room so we moved to a different room and it was the same problem just less of them. The sheets were not that clean crisp sheet, I wondered if they were really clean and the mattress was extremely thin.

The air conditioning wall control didn’t work, the unit rattled constantly, only one elevator was working, couldn’t get the tv working and when asking for help, no body responded. The breakfast selection was skimpy and pancake machine wasn’t working.
Very disappointed with our stay. Will not use Tru, especially this one, ever again when traveling.

The young lady at the front desk assisted me in correcting my reservation from 11/09 to 11/02 (we arrived to find my error). She was a big help. The location and room were nice

It’s a disappointment! Refrigerator didn’t work. Controls on back, outside of unit. Had to pull the entire unit away from wall. I ask for a replacement and they did. No microwave or ice bucket, blinds broken and could not open them. One elevator broken all weekend. Terrible breakfast. No outdoor trash cans in rear or sides of building.
Positives…large room and bath, staff was helpful and friendly. Property was good. Location was good also, near restaurants and 95.

I had a wonderful experience at Tru by Hilton Ashland. The hotel is modern, clean, and well-maintained, with a fun and vibrant atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, making check-in and our entire stay smooth and pleasant. I especially appreciated the complimentary breakfast and the game room, which added a nice touch of relaxation. The location is super convenient—right off I-95 and close to Kings Dominion and local attractions. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable stay in the Ashland area!

The lobby area was nice, clean and inviting. Upon checking in there was a placard letting us know the desk clerk was away. There was another person waiting and had been waiting for a little while before we arrived. We waited for about 20 minutes before he decided he had a job and showed up. No apologies or anything, guess that's a work privilege he gets? Place didn't seem safe after that. We were tired and ready for bed. It was around 10:30pm. Just disappointed in the experience. Did try chat with the app but it didn't understand the clerk wasn't there. Called Customer Care but he showed up at that time.

Tru rooms tend to be small but clean. Bathroom and step in shower good. Common areas welcoming and comfortable.
