Very comfortable stay. Everything we needed was there. One suggestion we would make is to improve the quality of your toilet paper. It was way too rough and fell apart easily, hence causing us to use more. Otherwise, our stay was very nice.

Staff were incredible. Absolutely best in class service. Very clean, quiet, fixtures/amenities/beds all appeared in new condition. Best hotel I've stayed at in years.

I like the two room set up so that we can have multiple people in one room. The big table was great for when we borrowed Scrabble from the Lending Library to play before bed. Location is convenient for catching hockey against BSU.

The thing that stood out the most to me was the staff on duty at the desk when I checked in. She was talking with a difficult customer on the phone and handled it beautifully. Then she had a very good sense of humor, after disconnecting from the call, with the customers in front of her waiting to check in. And there was a line waiting.

I made a reservation online, but was told at check-in that rooms were overbooked. I would have to wait while the staff cleaned up one the rooms if I wanted to stay. It was late at night, so I asked for a refund instead. The staff told me she would call the site I made the reservation through for a refund, and left my phone number to be contaced in case something came up. I patiently waited for the refund, but almost 2 weeks later, I had not seen the refund. I called back Candlewood Suites to inquire about it, and was told I needed call back when another staff came in later that day that could access third party booking sites. I called back later, but to my disappointment, was told that I would have to call the site myself. It was upsetting to hear that nothing had been done by the hotel staff and I was also not contacted by them that I would need to make the call myself.
My experience with the hotel and staff were terrible and I have never encountered anything like this in all of my hotel stays. First, I was told no rooms were available, then I was told different things by different staff about getting my refund. The ways that things were handled were unorganized, unprofessional, and nothing that someone should have experienced. I would never book a stay here again and would not recommend to anyone else.
