We stay at this hotel several times a year. We can’t say enough about the staff here. The general manager Charlotte goes above and beyond for guests. We understand that this property will be getting a ‘refresh’ later this fall which will be nice. The staff and the overall experience are well worth staying here.

My experience is very similar to asiatrip2007Winnipeg's. Even as a diamond member, there was no flexibility with checking in an hour early and checking out an hour late. I do not for one second believe that all the rooms are cleaned right at 11am even when the hotel is sold out. The room was generally clean, but some of the public areas (including the breakfast area) were not very clean. I come to Minneapolis regularly and the location is convenient. But I will not stay here again.

We chose this hotel out of the many available in the area based on the reviews. We were happy that it lived up to expectations. The staff were friendly. The rooms were clean and quiet. The pool area was nice. The breakfast had a decent variety of items. They even had gluten free bagels and non dairy milk options available. The price was pretty good too. We would definitely choose this hotel again.

... with only a few minor misses. Room was very clean and quiet - no rattle in the A/C unit! I didn't need or request housekeeping, but they did a towel refresh mid-stay anyway. A sign indicated a full room cleaning was available on request. The location is well away from the MOA traffic, which was fine for my visit. There is no airport shuttle, but I didn't need it. The "missing" front desk employee is noticeable. It didn't impact my stay, but I did witness some frustration from a couple of other guests. Perhaps they can get more work done by being in the office behind the front desk - I don't know? Some hotels forget they are in the hospitality business, not just the room business. All the employees were friendly and helpful - once I found them ;) A couple of minor misses - no firm pillows available. I absolutely hate those floppy pillows! The breakfast spread is standard Hampton, which is mediocre at best. Having no bananas was disappointing. The desk chair was a bit rickety and sat very low to the floor (even at it's highest setting) which made computer work a bit awkward. Over the years, I've stayed at several other hotels (HGI, HIE, CY, etc.) closer to the MOA, but I would say the overall quality of stay and value to be a little better here. If proximity to the MOA or having a nice breakfast are not a priority, and you have your own transportation, this is a good choice.

The purpose of my stay at this hotel was a quick overnight before a flight out of MSP Airport the next day. This Hampton Inn's reviews were better than a location closer to the airport. I am glad that a stay here. The hotel is located in what seems like a quiet residential neighborhood with a couple of other hotels and some apartments. The property itself was clean, comfortable and quiet. Just what I needed with an early flight the next morning. The breakfast in the morning looked to be standard Hampton Inn. Unfortunately, I couldn't stay to eat because of needing to get to the airport. The hotel did have some "to go" breakfast bags which was very helpful. I got the airport in plenty of time for my flight and was prepared for the day thanks to being able to stay at this Hampton Inn.

We stay here a couple times each year when visiting family in the area. The hotel is always very well maintained & the staff very welcoming. The general manager Charlotte and Patty at the front desk are wonderful. It truly is our home away from home when in this area.

This particular Hampton was probably built in the past decade and feels generally new. The common areas and guest rooms are well appointed and comfortable. One of the biggest perks of this property is its somewhat secluded setting in the far western end of Bloomington. It's located in an area that is populated mostly by offices and several large apartment developments. Given its distance from the more active, chaotic commercial east end of Bloomington, it's very serene here. You'll also avoid loud air traffic noise that impacts most of the hotels further east in Bloomington. You may find that this particular Hampton draws a little an older and more business focused clientele. During a non-peak Winter period, this hotel seemed downright deserted, as it was during my stay. As such, if this is potentially an upside for you, you'll find relative solitude here. The negative downside is that there is little to no commercial activity nearby to walk to, beyond the Renaissance Hotel next door. The Hampton has a nice indoor pool, whirlpool and well equipped workout facility that were well very well maintained and quiet throughout my stay. I'm admittedly not a fan of the breakfast fare that most Hampton's nationwide provide guests. What was offered at this location was average at best. The hot entrees were sub par overall. What's available will fill an empty spot only. You'll find no taste treats. The juices dispensed from the machine were terrible. I also thought that the dining area tables could have been better maintained, especially considering how quiet the area was with so few customers. While the common areas appeared clean for the most part, I did notice bagged garbage sitting adjacent to the trash receptacle by the elevator on my floor for an extended 8 hour time without anyone disposing of it. I also thought the hallway carpet could have been more routinely vacuumed. It wasn't. I sensed that there was a small staff on duty at this place at any given time. You'll find little hustle or bustle here. Lastly, the Guest Service workers at this hotel are NEVER routinely working at the front desk. Instead, they apparently monitor the desk from a camera from the office behind the desk and only come out as needed. This is a bit of an oddity, both from a security standpoint, and also from a "lets greet our customers with a smile when they come and go" perspective. My opinion is that the hotel staff could spend a little more time as visible employees. Admittedly, they are perhaps more visible at busier times of the day and year. Candidly during my stay, I rarely witnessed anyone up at the front desk. That's not a comforting thing for guests to observe. My humble opinion of course. All said, however, it's still a good place overall. I'll give it a solid B.

Clean hotel, I’m very picky with cleanliness. Very friendly and helpful front desk attendant. I have no complaints, which is extremely rare when it comes to hotels. Good breakfast with plenty of options. Hot tub and pool area were clean with plenty of towels available.
