Oregon first timers here and we have been blown away. The Franziska B&B surpassed our expectations!! Upon arrival, the friendly lodge owners met us at the front door. The breakfast is literally farm to table, they have their own hen house. And fruit from these parts is always fresh from a garden. Three nights was great but we could have stayed longer and we definitely plan to return. Thank you Franziska B&B ~ Emily & Randy

Wonderful time spent at this warm and inviting wine country retreat. When you arrive you are greeted with a stunning and spacious cabin on a sprawling estate that feels akin to ski loges yet retains a cozy and inviting feel. A well manicured property with ample parking a gate make for a nice entrance to the property. From the room size and layout to the simple additions of locally sourced coffee the property owners did not miss a thing. The bed was a treat as was the large walk in zero entry shower replete with quality tile, ample natural shampoo, conditioner and soap, large soft towels, comfortable robes and special makeup washrags. The ensuite bathroom was very spacious and allowed for ample room to prepare for dinners and or wine tasting in the areas many wonderful wineries and or world class restaurants or just aa visit to the many local Pizza, BBQ or up level eateries. Another nice little touch is the addition of a full height mirror next to the closet that came equipped with quality wood hangers for my sport coat and my wife's dress's. Again the little touches help make this a winner for myself and wife. Breakfast was another treat. Home made German pancakes, fresh fruit and sausage with the delicious local coffee and orange juice made for a great meal and start to the day. The shared indoor and outdoor spaces are appointed with high quality and comfortable furnishings. The estate offers space to stretch out and enjoy privacy or join in conversation with others staying at the bed and breakfast if you are social. Waking up and enjoying the views of the surrounding hills that contain some of the worlds best wines is a welcome site. Add to that the quite of the area lends itself to a relaxing environment to recharge. Family or professional group events here are a great option with space for all to enjoy. Family reunions or weddings would be fantastic here as well. An hour or so drive west lands you at the Oregon coast, head east to visit Mt. Hood or go south to central Oregon for a completely different feel. The options here are endless. Do yourself a favor and stay here even if it is for a single night out while venturing from PDX to escape the rat race and enjoy some time in the heart of wine country. A week here would be heaven.

What an incredible experience. The Franziska Haus is a beautiful property with wonderful Innkeepers. The grounds are immaculate, the common living area very comfy and the location is perfect. Keith the Innkeeper/Owner was a great communicator and help us with lining up a driver for a day as well as making restaurant suggestions. Hot breakfast is served at 8:30 and we enjoyed amazing German crepes, frittatas, biscuits, homemade jam and locally sourced sausage. Rooms were large, beds were comfortable and the temperatures were easily controlled. The option to stay at a beautiful home like the Franziska Haus vs a chain hotel is hands down the best option. We will remember the cozy fires in the living room and time spent with friends reliving the highlights of the day and visiting with Keith. This is a MUST see if visiting Dundee!

Awesome experience at the Franziskahaus. We were totally exhausted when we got there and the bed was so comfortable for a quick nap. The location is perfect for access to so many different vineyards. We really enjoyed getting to just walk around the property and relax!

The first thing you see when you turn off the road is a beautiful Dutch Colonial style building made with logs framed by green trees and lawn. The front steps climb to a entry with an expansive view of the Willamette Valley. The great room is warm and inviting with comfortable furnishings that make you want sit and relax. There are multiple patio areas outside for sitting and enjoying the view. The hosts are locals and know the area well. The property sits in the middle of wine country. Both Clark and Bridget were a wealth of information. Our room was comfortable and much larger than we needed, the area is too beautiful to stay indoors. The room included a comfortable sitting area with a large screen TV, a table with four chairs and a large bathroom. While we enjoyed local coffee, a delicious, simple breakfast was prepared fresh for us in the great room the morning.

The “About” description of this property is 100% accurate The property has an “out in the country” feel, while being only a couple miles away from Newberg and even closer to Dundee. That makes it a good launching pad to visit wineries near and less than an hour far. Dundee and Newberg have a lot of restaurants of various kinds. While cost-wise this is mid-range, this family has built and maintained an impressive property with wonderful and immaculate rooms. Bridgette and Clark are outstanding innkeepers who are incredibly helpful and kind, while being non-intrusive. They can send you wonderful curated lists of both wineries and restaurants. Hot and healthy breakfasts start at 8 am; great coffee and water available before that in the great room. On top of it a beautiful property with great views and very nicely landscaped. Highly, highly recommend.

Our 2 nights-stay at Franziska B&B was awesome! The owners Bridgette and Clark are extremely nice persons and they gave us a very warm welcome, very good recommendations for nearby restaurants and sites to visit. Our bedroom (Ava’ s terrace) had a wonderful view, from our nice balcony, was very spacious and nicely decorated . Every morning the breakfast in the beautiful main sitting room prepared by Bridget was delicious! We highly recommend this B&B!!! 10 stars!

酒店回复: Thank you so very much Michelle for your kind review! It was our great pleasure having you and Ricardo stay with us. I enjoyed conversing about the commonalities you and I share in European heritage as well as shared vocational paths in the mental health profession. Best to you both, and your blueberry agricultural business!
