Rooms in the 5000's are above the waterpark, so the hallways and rooms are humid, but the a/c works nice in the room, and the mattresses looked new and felt good to sleep on.
I had to reboot the cable box, and fully plug in the HDMI cord because the TV had no signal.
No breakfast, but they do give out BOGO's for a couple local breakfast joints.
Decent for $100/night (2 queen beds).

the furniture in room was broken, nothing dusted, dirty carpet, no bathroom for guests checking in in the lobby, torn screens, dirty windows. Heated pool was a plus but waterpark is very cold water. Won't stay again even if price is reasonable.

The lady at desk was very friendly. However, we had a log in the toilet when we arrived.
Dirty unmade pullout and missing light bulbs.
Made service didnt even replenish all the towels and matts. No coffee or cups left.
They made sure to put a tip envelope front and center after they left.
Mackinaw has turned into a scam. Dirty and unpleasant. Foods is horrible. For anything worth the money, you have to trvel at least 20 minutes away. Save your money and got to Traverse City.
Better a one day trip to island and drive in hour to a place worthy of your money

Run down property, no in room phone, ( broken no internal parts) sheets missing, broken ice bucket, not enough towels, glass on the bathroom floors. No staff to clean the room. Front desk lady was nice informative and helpful. Smelly carpets a wet moldy smell.
Cheap price, good location, helpful front desk. But needs a major overhaul and maintenance help, most ac in the hallways broken etc. run down etc.

Very spacious room and nice staff. Great location with a small waterpark that looked fun, although we didn’t have time to use it. Our only complaint would be the uncomfortable pillows and the floor of our room needed sweeping.

A Nice Room For Relaxing
I went to Mackinaw for a late vacation. There was a problem with when I had scheduled my vacation, but we were able to straighten it out. It was a very relaxing time away. I just never heard the housekeeping when they came by.

The adjoining suites were very nice overall. My only complaint was that the floors in rooms and bathroom could have been a bit icleaner. (Not barefoot friendly 😠) The fireworks that night were a surprise!
