Things happen sometimes but I was a little upset at the fact we had checked in and got our key cards. found the room and used the bathroom and sat for a minute before we went out to grab something to eat after asking advice at the same front desk. After returning I found we couldn’t get into the room. I Went to the front desk again and was told I never checked in and someone else had been checked into the room. We were given another room and i was too tired to vent on deaf ears.

I was happy with the size of room,even had a sofa! What I didn't like was that we had people walk right in our room with their luggage!! That should never happen; double book a room. Do I hear a comp coming??

Un-prepared sofa bed for daughter
We arrived pretty late and we're eager to go to bed, but the sofa bed was not prepared for our daughter. It was not even opened. Then we had to go through the hotel to be given sheets...
Other than that, it was a nic.

Property was as expected for convenience and price. Was noisy including AC equipment. Could hear other guests. Large hairy dogs in dining area just gross. Also there was a 12 year old softball tournament this weekend. The children were great. However the parents doing the children’s hair styles while in breakfast mode & area is not hygienic.

Second Time I stayed here and both times the man at the front desk was SO rude, not helpful, and condescending. First visit was when my dad passed away, and second was when I came back for his funeral. Not what I needed after flying from Texas. Why did I stay the second time- bc there is not a lot of selection and I wanted to be close to my mom.

We stayed 2 nights and did not receive new towels or cleaning. We were in a block group and others did not as well. Hotel was understaffed. When I called to request towels we were told to come to the lobby. When I said we needed sheets for the pull out bed we were told to come to the lobby.
The room was dirty- pink mold in the bathroom and large stains on the carpet.
The air conditioning was inconsistent - either hot or freezing cold despite managing the thermostat.
Breakfast was mediocre. Pancake machine was broken both mornings. Only ice ir water to be had was in the third floor and 1 of the 2 days the ice maker was broken!
In a nutshell, no customer service and a two star hotel at best.

The old worn down La Quinta is now a renovated HIE making our stay much more comfortable. Of course the State of Vermont’s policy of buying out hotels for homeless and migrants makes the cost of our stay relatively expensive compared to such properties in other states.
