Hotel isn't what it used to be. It could use some maintenance. The carpet in the room was stained everywhere and looked filthy. The tub faucet was leaking excessively. the room itself didn't seem the cleanest.
Staff didn't seem overly helpful. Asked for a different room since I would be there 5 nights and none were available.

Room had overwhelming musty smell and carpet was gross. HVAC was off when we entered room and I think mgmt needs to start leaving on at some level as property is right on the water, so with no circulation when room is empty, not surprising musty. Triggered my asthma - thankful just a one-night stay while driving through. Staff was friendly and good breakfast which was a plus, bathroom was clean but between the stained/not well-vacuumed carpet and the smell I just can't recommend the property. (also, drain plug sat too low in the sink so water barely drained...simple adjustment that should be made. Forgot to mention at checkout. We just brushed teeth in the shower)

The lady at the front desk was so nice and pleasant, as well as professional. The guy was rude and unfriendly.
Now for the housekeeping staff excellent, very friendly helpful.

Good Experience !
We got there late, check-in was quick, had great view of the boatyard, breakfast was great had plenty of options. Too bad that the ghostly looking boat yard is not in operation, what a great venue it would be. Not far from historic downtown Port Huron. Would stay here again.

Staff was amazing!!!! But the property needs some attention. It states that the property is non smoking and yet there were cigarette butts everywhere. I saw staff smoking while sitting on the curb by the entrance. The patio furniture had mold growing on the cushions. In the dining room the table with the upholstered bench is all stained. Great place to stay, great staff but they need to up their game

Maybe the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had! A great selection of hot and cold dishes, and the warm, gooey cinnamon rolls were SO good!
