A wonderful house with a wonderful welcome. The website looked wonderful and when we arrived we found it was even more impressive in reality. The house is reached by a winding drive that reveals a beautiful building. The public areas (dining room, billard room/bar and the lounge) are all wonderful - a true country house hotel. The lounge has a wonderful array of books piled high so you can relax in the chairs/sofas and read. The dining room has a 16 seat table with amazing candlesticks (there were only two of us eating and no, we didn't sit at either end!) The accommodation was equally amazing - we had the Chinese suite with a separate sofa - the en-suite was also in the Chinese style and had a lovely rainfall shower over the bath. Everything was really comfortable. The rooms were accessed via a courtyard with beautiful flora and a cascade mini rock waterfall - spellbinding. We ate dinner the first night (booking in advance essential) and it was stunning - haggis, neaps and tatties in a whisky sauce, salmon with the most amazing vegetables (especially the beetroot in marmalade) and a super take on bread pudding. Breakfast was, if possible, even more incredible. An array of juices, yoghurt and bowls of fresh fruit prepared in a multitude of ways (with spices, herbs and fresh citrus) plus a huge choice for a cooked breakfast (we had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs). This place is a gem. Celia and Richard are the most welcoming of hosts and we will recommend Craigadam to our friends - and we will be back.

Having driven down from Inverness- we (my sister and I, with our dogs) were pleased to arrive at this wonderful country house hotel. We had a most enjoyable dinner, in a resplendent dining room, and spent 3 nights in the lovely cottage. The owners were friendly and welcoming. Our dogs enjoyed lovely walks and the peaceful countryside. The cleanliness and attention to detail was excellent

Recently stayed for 5nights at the Craigadam guesthouse. Our host Celia and her family made us feel so welcome. Their home is warm and cosy which just make you feel so relaxed. Breakfast was delicious, home made bread and breakfast to suit you. We had an evening meal for our anniversary which was perfect. The setting of Craiadam is peaceful and quiet but within easy reach of the roads for sightseeing Dumfries and Galloway. It is within the dark sky zone , perfect for star gazing..managed to see the milky way. I have no hesitation in recommending this guest house and hope to return with family members in the future. Thank you Celia and Richard

Celia, was very helpful and knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. The hotel was in a beautiful setting, very private. Excellent home cooked food. Our room was spotless, a lovely, homely end to our trip round Scotland

Think The Adam’s Family meets Cold Comfort Farm. Only read the 1/2 star reviews these are the true ones. It’s the worst place I have ever stayed. Take a good luck at the pictures of the rooms, as in reality they are a lot worse. It’s a below basic B&B, don’t waste your money.

This was the second time we have stayed here. It was like coming back home. Celia and Richard made us so welcome. The room we had was brilliant, the view fabulous. The breakfast out of the world. Nothing was too much trouble, Celia phoned us to let us know about the road closure and to offer alternative routes. We will becoming back before the end of the year.

Lovely Country House, Working Farm with lovely appointed bedrooms. Ours was almost a Junior Suite with a four poster super king size bed and a separate living area. Good Wi-Fi. Oak panelled dining room with a huge dining table, situated adjacent to the snooker/billiard room with a well stocked honesty bar. All rooms inc breakfast £140 per room. Breakfast is cooked to order which is required the evening before which is no problem whatsoever. Celia and everyone we came into contact with were extremely helpful and friendly despite what some of the other reviews say. Try and book direct if you can.

Had a great stay for my friends birthday. The victorian room was amazing and the beds ultra comfy. The court yard is a dream to sit in. Contrary to some reviews I have read Celia was lovely and went out of her way to accommodate us. Her and her husband are brilliant chefs from home made bread and potato cakes at breakfast to a delicious evening meal, including the vegetarian meal she specially made for my friend. We would love to stay again and can highly recommend.

Beautiful location fantastic hotel, wonderful food, lovely staff. The bed was very comfortable and the room felt luxurious. Dinner was a feast of scottishness. The billiard room with the honesty bar very indulgent. Breakfast was lovely. Can't fault any of it so won't.
