This was an affordable, clean, conveniently located, well run hostel. The volunteers are helpful, all the rules are well laid out. Bring your own lock, basic hygiene products, snacks. I stayed for five nights in mid-January 2025 and had an amazing time! Fully ecommend.

First time ever thought about doing a hostel- the environment is very good! The workers make it feel like home. The bed was freshly made. You are with other people in the same room. So be aware of your belongings! Other than this hostel is one of the best ones ever! Especially in town only thing is- no laundry unit!

The rooms and halls are clea. Friendly and understanding staff. Clearly laid out rules and guidelines that considers everyone. VERY accessible by bus (stop at the corner) or train (a few blocks from the Wilshire/Western Metro Rail station. Great location for cheap food via nearby markets .

Market (Ralphs) and pharmacy (CVS) a few minutes walk away. Subway nearby too. The hostel offers breakfast, but even though it's simple, I liked it. They could maybe add something else. There are several bathrooms on the first floor, and they're pretty clean, even though they're used by a lot of guests. I recommend it.

What I liked most was the well-equipped kitchen. I love to cook, and I was able to make my meals the way I wanted. They serve breakfast too, although it's simple, it's good. I stayed in a mixed room with my girlfriend and it was very comfortable. There's a market nearby and several bus options. The hostel staff are good too. I'd recommend!

The hostel maintains a friendly and respectful atmosphere. The kitchen is well-maintained, and volunteers are helpful. Proximity to the subway made exploring Los Angeles pretty easy. If I revisit LA, I’d come back to The Rumi. the beds are confortable too

The place is clean and organized, the staff explain the rules well and everyone respects each other. There's a piano in the living room, so I was able to play a bit. There's also space to work on the computer. I stayed in a room with 8 beds, but I still had no problems. It was a pleasant stay and I would probably go back.

It was very good value for money. There are lots of shops near the hostel and plenty of public transport too. The showers are very good. The female rooms have their own bathroom and everything is very clean. There was one guest who tried to make a fuss, but the staff quickly resolved the situation. They serve breakfast and even tea. The place is nice.

The hostel is very nice, people respect each other's space (sometimes even too much) and the dishes are always clean. The volunteers are friendly and helpful with our questions. There's a subway near the hostel, and it takes around 30 to 40 minutes to get to Hollywood, but it's easy to get there. If I go back to Los Angeles I'll probably stay at the same hostel
