Tips: beach is on doorstep, not good for disabled access or to stay at the ship. Steep stairs to all rooms. Service in bar below average, had to wait in line. Even if staying there you had to go round to pub bar as not enough staff to serve at both areas for drinks as a residents .The place is definitely not value for money , needs a update , pic falling off walls, paint work falling off cracked walls or just broken walls. Room was £253 per night . Stains on chair, bathroom cupboard falling apart and plug stuck in basin so water stayed. Staff lazying around in one area . Breakfast was good and the one lady serving was very intensive & very friendly. We Would not recommend a stay . Needs to be addressed & staff sorted. Stated August 2025

Great pub with rooms. Rooms are quirky and individual and very comfortable. I was in a cozy double, which looked out over the road and the picnic area of the ‘posh’ chip shop; this was not an issue apart from no net curtain which meant I either had to close the blind and be in dark or creep around - needs to be rectified please

Fabulous short stay.! Have stayed several times before and every time have been well looked after by the fantastic staff, they are so friendly it's just like staying with old friends. The rooms are always clean and well serviced with daily top ups of tea, coffee and bottled mineral water. The breakfast is freshly cooked, plentiful and sets you up for the whole day. Ate every evening in the restaurant and the food was tasty and well presented. Would I stay again, definitely !

Fantastic place to stay
What a fantastic place to stay right next to the sea, with ample parking, lovely room, big bed, warm and very comfortable. Every member of staff was pleasant and helpful

Superb!
Room was immaculate and the bed was really comfortable. The view over the sea was superb. We also ate dinner and breakfast and the food / service was fantastic.

Last orders for lunch is advertised as 2.45pm so based on this we drove several miles to find that they had stopped taking orders at 2.30pm. What a waste of our time and fuel. Plus we were then too late to get in anywhere else. What a lovely waste of one of our holiday days.
