Do NOT stay here if you wish to get any sleep whatsoever!! It is so incredibly loud with the traffic going by at all hours; super loud trucks, semis, motorcycles. We also had the joy of listening to a drunk girl and her parents screaming at one another late at night because she apparently wanted more beer and they told her she didn’t need any more. We could hear the entire fight. When we called the front desk, the attendant wanted to know which side it was coming from (which we could only speculate). And instead of just coming up to investigate it herself, she pressed on about which side because “it would save me a lot of time”. The restaurant/bar is the best thing about this hotel.

This is a newer property that is beautifully appointed and maintained. Our waterfront view room (small extra charge) was large, comfortable and quiet. The staff are friendly and responsive. Breakfast was great! Parking easy. Onsite bar and grill another huge plus. We will be back.

Well.. unfortunately the shower had no wayer pressure available the 1st night. But worked for remainder of stay.
The dining options were basically bar food.. and the street nearby and restaurant near my room were loud at times. View of street.

Could have been better
Very noisy. My room was close to the bar where I could hear the band until midnight. The thermostat glowed so bright that it lit up the room all night.

The Blackhawk Tavern & Grill had VERY LOUD music until midnight. Spoke with hotel staff who say they have complained & reported the noise issue to the police department (ordinances state outdoor music to end at 10pm) and to the city, but nothing is done. VERY unfortunate to have such a nice business jeopardized by another business who doesn’t follow the laws for the good of all. Don’t recommend staying here when outdoor music is being offered in the area.

Great location & super clean.
This is our go to hotel every time we visit Prairie du Chein. It is easily walkable to town. You'll be met by friendly staff in hotel & bar/restaurant.
