I had a room on the second floor and there were children above me running back and forth on the floor above me. Also, I requested a late check-out, was appproved, and paid the extra fee. However, it wasn't communicated with the morning staff or put in their notes. They began knocking on my door at 11 am and I explained that I had a late check-out to housekeeping. They knocked again at noon saying they didn't have record of it. I had to show my bank statements and tell them I hadn't checked in until 7 pm for the matter to be resolved.

Wasn't a terrible stay. Staff was very kind. Hotel smelled like pee and wasn't very clean. Would choose a different hotel if staying in Portsmouth.

Security lock was broken, bugs in room, everything was dirty/sticky/dusty, smelled awful, linens were stained, hand towel had dirty feet prints on them, stains and crumbs on every piece of furniture.

First room the deadbolt didn’t work. Second room had a conjoined door to another room and they didn’t have locks on them. Third room had a strange smell and the door handle was loose on both sides of the main door

Don’t do it.
Trust the bad reviews and don’t stay here. The whole place smells like cigarettes. The rooms are incredibly rundown and dirty. Had to go to the dollar store and buy my own cleaning supplies to clean it. Stains on the sheets, moldy shower and dirty toilet, curtains ripped and stained with what looked like blood, white towels had black stains all over them, uneven and broken floors, cigarette holes and stains all over the chairs, sticky nightstands, windows so dirty you can’t see out of them…. There was literally a hole in our wall by the AC and you could see outside. And this was the second room after we refused to stay in the first one we were given. There’s strange people who just hang out in the lobby and parking lot all day every day, I assume they live at the hotel. Had a poor newborn baby rolling around the dirty lobby floor. Doors slam all hours of the night. People screaming in the hallway at 7am. Backdoors are open for anyone to just walk in. Parking lot has sketchy characters.
Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

Needs improvement
The beds were comfortable but had terrible creaking noise! We unfortunately had very noisy neighbor that kept us up most of night! The receptionist was wonderful and so sweet!

Embarrassment of Rosemount
My wife is from Portsmouth and was attending her 50th Class reunion. We stayed her. 2 yrs ago, but surprised how much this place has gotten. The bed was nice and comfortable.
There were scary looking people in the lobby when we came in at 10:30pm. Loud noices most of the night. Large outdoor trash can sitting in the hallway. Breakfast room was clean. No waffle mix available. REALLY? I got 2 more classmates to stay at this location. I was very embarrassed.

Wish there was ways to.badge in the rear entrance at night. Also caught 2 women messing with others vehicles along with mine. So maybe better eye on parking lot at night.
