I booked a 12-night stay at Nile Village Hotel, expecting a relaxing 4-star experience (in November 2025) - which is what they advertise themselves as. Instead, I walked directly into a construction zone. The swimming pool was completely shut, and although the spa, sauna, steam room and gym were technically “open”, the constant drilling throughout the day made them unusable. The noise was so loud it could be heard from the road outside the hotel. None of this was communicated before arrival, despite the hotel knowing the facilities had been closed since 1 November. Management offered minimal compensation (three ciders), repeatedly failed to give clear answers, and left me to find alternative accommodation myself before finally agreeing to move me, after I contacted ******* to complain. The experience was nowhere near what was advertised, and the lack of transparency and customer care was extremely disappointing.

The noise was so loud it could be heard from the road outside the hotel.
None of this was communicated before arrival, despite the hotel being aware that the facilities had been closed since 1 November (I checked in on 9th Nov). Management offered minimal compensation (three ciders), repeatedly failed to give clear answers, and left me to find alternative accommodation myself before finally agreeing to move me. Even then, the replacement hotel was a lower star rating and the hotel refused discuss refunding the difference in price.
The experience was nowhere near what was advertised, and the lack of transparency and customer care was extremely disappointing.

Steer clear of this hotel. It has very poor service, disgusting beds and dirty rooms with lots of dust in the windows and under the bed. Incredibly bad food, slow waiters who took forever to serve you. All the staff smiled brightly, but quickly lost their smile when you didn't tip them. All the staff were more or less beggarly. Fortunately, there are better hotels and better places to go in Uganda.

Very comfortable rooms, I always looked forward to the breakfas, I had traveled for work and having a gym and swimming pool helped me relax very evening,great staff. Very affordable and it's worth every penny

The hotel is very nice and the room/bed were quite comfortable. The meal service was great. The barman kept the beer cold and served with a a ready smile;-)
Was there for work - so having the essentials listed above work was key.
Would defintiely stay again.

I was very disappointed with my stay at Nile Village. I typically stay at this hotel 2-3 times a year and book multiple rooms but this visit was different. The hotel has a new manager and the service just wasn't the same. I booked a total of 3 rooms. One family member was moved 3 times due to issues in the room (broken AC, broken shower) the last room was next to the bar and they had to listen to loud music every night until 1130pm. I booked 3 deluxe rooms but was given the cheaper cottage rooms. I spoke with the front desk multiple times about this but upper management never spoke with me about it. The cottage is about $20 USD per night cheaper than the deluxe rooms. 2 rooms had no shower doors, mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. The filter on the AC was filthy and blew dust when it was turned on. This place has not been taken care of very well as of late.

客户服务太差了,我们在办理入住后被困了将近两个小时,没有拿到房间。工作人员太粗鲁了,漠不关心,好像根本没有客户服务。你能相信没有床单吗?这就是工作人员不给我们房间的理由。而且分配给我们的房间也卖光了。他们毁了我们的复活节假期。我们非常失望地离开了这个地方。伙计们,你们的服务要改进。
