Lovely little pub hotel with a lot of history. The room was clean the bathroom was large with a wonderful bathtub. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

Only downside of the stay was the food, as part of a chain the meals are all instant or microwave options which, though arrive very fast and hot just don't compete with something made fresh.

Parking was great, service for food in the evening was absolutely terrible. The restaurant only had one chef on. Waited 1 hour 50 before i had to go up and ask for my starter which was chicken strips. Not one of the staff members come up to me and apologise about the situation. I ended cancelling my food and not eating in there again on my 3 night stay. ive also asked for a vat invoice which i still havent got. Rooms are good overall.

Charming but Small

The room was too small for the number of nights we were there. However, the staff kept it clean and serviced daily. Our room was on the ground floor so we did not have to climb stairs with our luggage. That was a plus.

The exterior was tired and required attention. Areas were overgrown with shrubs..broken outside table with tape around to prevent being sat on, however it looked dreadful.

In the dining area the table was very sticky. The staff though were very attentive and polite so we thank you for that.

The hotel is located in a quiet village. Inside it has many nice period features. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The bar area is relaxed and food is well prepared and offers good options. Food and wine were reasonably priced. Rooms are well equiped and of a good size.
