Lovely Location with easy access to Lymington Town. The lounge/ Bar / Restaurant was very relaxing and seasonal. Our room was warm and spotlessly clean with tea/ coffee and bottled water. Very good value for money. Every where was clean and tidy very well kept. Quiet with low level music in restaurant/Bar. Service was top class. A good choice of quality food.

Although the food was mainly of good quality it was all Luke warm at best! Although all the other tables around us were asked if there food was ok we were not approached at all! This was not our first visit we have been many times sometimes it’s been very good sometimes average this time very poor! We will not be returning as it’s no longer good value or got the atmosphere it used to have and whereas it used to be difficult to get a table it was almost empty… no atmosphere!

Really nice accommodation, looks like converted stables, beautifully finished and really clean. Good tea coffee facilities and nicely laid out rooms. Food in the bar restaurant was really nice. Really quick but it wasn’t massively busy ( Tuesday night) I had ribs which were really good and my wife had a steak which came perfectly cooked.We had a selection of the tapas to start again they arrived really quickly but excellent, whitebait, prawns and olives. All very nice.

Spent five nights at Walhampton Arms in pleasant rural location also convenient for coastal town Lymington. Overall mixed impressions also would give review 5 stars however experience on this occasion fell short. Room was nice with pleasing decor also after last renovation definitely lovely however some attention overdue particularly bathroom. Sealant coming away underneath walk-in shower also black mould evident together with discolouring on tiling of wall inside the shower due to mould apparent on grouting. Service excellent despite some shortcomings Particularly impressive from Mark also very friendly lady manager sorry did not pick up your name. We dined daily in restaurant area both breakfast and evening dinner. Staff on duty did their very best nonetheless evident staffing quota not up to sufficient number at times for number of guests putting pressure on friendly helpful staff trying very hard to meet guest expectation. Meal quality also portion size disappointing at times given pricey menu. Walhampton Arms having much potential with at least rooms obviously well booked establishment could be even better.

My partner and I were very pleasantly suprise just how good this place was. We had booked it for a quick one night stop over before catching the ferry to the Isle of Wight the next morning. Lovely decor, even though part of it is new, but fits in very well with previous old building. Our ground floor room was situated in the back yard, with parking immediately outside it. Very convenient for lifting our luggage in. The bedroom although slightly on the small side was just excellent, and as for the bed, it’s huge! and extremely comfortable. I had the best nights sleep in years!. Now down to breakfast the next morning. We were greeted with a lovely cheerful “ good morning”: we very much enjoyed our full English breakfast, and were very lucky to get it! As, as we we were eating it, there was a power cut!! The poor guests who came in after us, had to make do with cold food. This was not the fault of the hotel. The whole of Lymington losts it power. Not sure for how long as we had to leave. The management apologised, but it was not their fault. We will return again if needed. Thank you! all for our stay with you.

Top rated, very clean and spacy bedroom. Nice and clean showers. Great pub across the courtyard so not noisy in the room. Dinner good pub food. Great selection of drinks. Hot breakfast prepared quickly. Walking distance to town. Staff very very efficient and friendly.

Stayed one night in room 8. Lovely room, was very clean and tidy. Very comfortable bed, just very very hot in the room even with window open. Shower was lovely and hot. Breakfast next morning was excellent. Will be back again soon hopefully!!

We arrived at the Walhampton Arms in time for their excellent Sunday carvery. This was followed by a three night stay. Our room was spacious and comfortable. All rooms are ground level with plenty of parking. The hosts are most welcoming and run a well organised pub/hotel. The menu for meals has a very good selection. We would stay again and would have no hesitation in recommending a stay at the Walhampton Arms

Just got back from a one night stay here with my family, and what a fantastic stay it was! The staff are friendly, accommodating and efficient; nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed a brilliant evening meal and cooked breakfast the following morning. All rooms are on the same level which was fantastic for my parents who struggle with mobility. Rooms are clean, well decorated and I especially enjoyed the little touch of homemade shortbread in the room. The bed was super comfortable and I was out like a light at bedtime. This inn is in an ideal location to explore the new forest and discover all it has to offer. I would highly recommend!!
