We went for my wifes birthday with a group of friends. The food was fantastic. Fresh and well presented. Good size portion too. Staff were friendly and attentive. The duck and lamb were excellent. Lovely evening and atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend here, always faultless.

Lovely room. Ours was at the top, it was a hot night and heat rises! We did have the windows open but it’s quite a busy road so lots of road noise. The blind also let in a lot of light too and if light sensitive there was a bright green light shinning in the ceiling. Bed very comfortable as were the pillows. Restaurant packed and the food was good. I had the roast and my husband had the mutton curry - huge potions. Staff very helpful and smiley but rushed off their feet.

JUST BRILLIANT
This is the third occasion we have stayed at The Recruiting Sergeant and hopefully it won't be the last. We received a prompt and friendly check-in on arrival and were shown to our first-floor room which was a good size, as was the bathroom. Both were spotless and were kept that way for the duration of our 4 night stay. Overlooking the road caused us no concerns. Great choice of good quality food for breakfast and we had our evening meal there on 3 of the 4 nights. Superb choice of food and wine which us well-cooked, plentiful, and served by well-mannered and good-humoured staff.

Our meal was delicious as usual, hot tasty and plentiful. You can tell that the freshest ingredients are used. Even though it's always busy the staff are pleasant and friendly and your not rushed to vacate your table. The beer is well kept too.

Lovely Quaint Pub with High Standard of Dining
I stopped for one night on business and found it to be a real gem. Lovely friendly team and amazing restaurant with high end menu choices and very well cheffed food. It was Tuesday evening and they looked fully booked for food which said a lot to me. Great selection of beers too. Parking on site was free and had a lovely breakfast in the morning nd great chat with the owner in relation to its aerospace connections. Overall would stay again 100%

酒店很不错，但人很多，所以停车是个问题。我们住的是阁楼房间，天花板很低，倾斜度很大，我不想再住在这里了。没有提供 WiFi 密码，浴室太热。
