Basanta Inn has a great family atmosphere. I was a solo traveller and was looked after by Jivan and his family. I was included in their family meals. My room was clean, cool and very comfortable. The coffee and breakfast were great. I was also driven every morning by Jivan to the school I was volunteering at. I could not recommend Basanta Inn highly enough.

A nice family run hotel. The beds as super comfortable and the aircon works well. The cafe down stairs makes the best peach iced tea. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and the place is clean. If you want hot water you have to remind them 😊 It’s also within walking distance to most things and they also will provide a car or organise taxis to other places they have suggested

So much I could say about Basanta Inn so I'll stick to the key points. The hotel is clean and welcoming with Jivan and Sabita the nicest, most helpful hosts you could find. In this day and age when travelers really want to make sure that health is a big priority, Basanta gives you complete comfort and cleanliness in an environment which is inexpensive when one considers what one is getting when staying there. A really nice cafe with great coffee and food is an added bonus plus the location is an area of Pokhara where the streets are clean and the locals take pride. I recommend Basanta Inn as highly as I can!

A perfect place to stay in Pokhara. Clean, bright, welcoming and brilliantly managed by an un intrusive and positive staff. I’ve been going to Pokhara for 40 years and this is my favourite hotel. You can get more luxurious places to stay but this is like a home from home.
