I really wanted to like Sonder – the location is great for visiting ASU and having a large enterprise like Marriott involved should eliminate the issues traditionally associated with BnB/RDO type operations. I read the reviews about check-in issues and cleanliness and was determined to be objective and fair. Ultimately, I was extremely disappointed. The good: Location, location, location. Perched above a Whole Foods Market with the light rail directly outside with stops around ASU, and within easy walking distance of the NW corner of campus the location is ideal for anyone visiting this area of Tempe. The building itself is relatively new and the appointments in the apartments are nice – including things like full size washer and drier. The bad: Location combined with cheap construction and maintenance issues. Sitting six stories above the street with a light rail outside, roaring cars, and a fire station 100 ft down the street means sleep is hard to come by. This is acknowledged by Sonder in the form of earplugs left on the nightstand. Six stories up makes for a nice view, but is problematic when one of two elevators is out of commission for an entire stay (which is normal according to residents) and somehow a stairwell is not working as well. Received a number of texts telling me to check email prior to check in letting me know that the boiler was out in the building and there was no hot water. Resolved the day I checked in – though there was still not enough hot water available for showering in the morning. Simple enough to submit a maintenance request, which was fulfilled – by the worker leaving a note that the water was “100 degrees, which they consider within normal range” and advising that I “should try showering during a different time of day.” On top of it all the water pressure was extremely weak - resulting in cold, anemic showers. The ice maker in the fridge was non-functional as well, but I believe that to be by design and trays were available. As others have mentioned, WIFI is spotty at best, which is not surprising as the equipment is literally falling out of the box when I arrived. So – unless you are able to sleep through all kinds of noise, enjoy cold showers, and look forward to long elevator wait times or climbing stairs look somewhere else to stay. If Sonder/Marriott had any concern for their guests, they would fine the building for all these issues and negative reviews.

So just got back after picking up my kid at Arizona State all I can really say about this particular hotel is wow! It was really close to campus. The room was a full apartment not just a room. We had a full kitchen and full living room. A king size bed, large closet space huge bathroom, washer and dryer. The place was so clean very quiet. The miniature products in the bathroom were upscale from CO Bigelow downstairs was a Whole Foods, which made it really easy to pick up some snacks. I also got a great price using Priceline (apparently the regular price was typically three times what I paid.) if you can get this location at a good price this is a wonderful option

Easy check in and out. Safe clean area. Location was good and very affordable. The apartment had a fully functioning kitchen and full size frig, washer, and dryer. Received 2 fobs. One for entering the building and another for the elevator and a remote to enter the garage. That was the only thing I didn’t care for but it wouldn’t stop me from staying there in the future.

Hi Klilac2000, thank you so much for your review! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed your stay. Both fobs actually operate building access, including main doors and elevators, but only 1 is active for parking as we only have 1 parking space per Sonder. You can request extra building fobs if you have extra guests with you. We really hope you come back again soon.

If you need all the amenities of home in a clean, roomy and comfortable place, this is it. You have everything you need to host, cook and relax. Great to have Whole Foods downstairs and be in walking distance to a plethora of eateries. Parking $ but understandable for location. Check in and out easy.

对Trip.com也太失望了。
