We booked two rooms at the Super 8 for a two-night stay, but unfortunately, our experience was deeply unsettling. On the second night, we discovered live cockroaches in the bathtub, a large spider on the wall near the bed, and several dead cockroaches in the corners of both rooms. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was poor, and the conditions felt unsanitary.
We are from Springfield, IL, and after finding bugs and spiders in both rooms, we felt we could no longer stay. At 11:30 PM, we packed up and drove six hours back home because we were uncomfortable and concerned about hygiene.
I attempted to speak with the manager about these issues, but he avoided me for two days. Eventually, I sent an email requesting a refund for both nights and both rooms—a total of $291.00. I was only refunded for one night for both rooms, which felt unfair given the circumstances.
This review reflects my personal experience. If you're considering booking this hotel, I strongly recommend doing so with caution.

The shower wall was patched with some kind of tape. The bathroom ceiling was cracking with paint chipping. The tv had a blue line through it. The bedspread on one of the beds was full of cigarette burns.

No elevator. I had to wait 20minutes for room to be cleaned when checking in at 4:30pm with advanced notice of arrival time. Bed had a very poor mattress (lumpy). Cigarette burns on toilet and vanity.

The bed was comfortable and fine to spend an evening there. Friendly desk worker and clean room!

Staff were kind and the room was clean. The hotel seemed dated, which is ok if you are just traveling through. Breakfast was minimal.

I had a great stay at this Motel 6. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made check-in easy after a long, tiring day. The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly what I needed to recharge after a strenuous show. The shower had great water pressure, which was a big plus! I was pleasantly surprised to find they offered breakfast—perfect to start the next day. Overall, a simple, clean, and comfortable stay with wonderful service.
