Not a huge hotel, but staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Showing just a bit of wear and tear; for instance, deadbolt on my door was inoperable, but door fit snugly and the door stop wotked fine. Kitchenette was a wonderful option for 3 day stay especially with a grocery about a quarter mile away. Maintenance request was promptly handled, hallways and dining area clean and breakfast well-stocked although, the regional favorite of sausage gravy on biscuits was not available.

The grounds, rooms & staff are wonderful! The only thing lacking is housekeeping. When we arrived the shampoo was empty, there was a used cartridge in the coffee maker, the Kleenex were empty and no coffee was left for use.

If you stay several nights the room is serviced every other day. On the day our room would not be serviced we asked housekeeping in the hall for coffee and shampoo. We didn’t receive either. On the third day when our room should have been serviced - only fresh towels were left. We, again, asked housekeeping in the hall for shampoo, coffee and Kleenex. She came right into the room and took care of these things (very nice). She said I can’t believe he didn’t even make the beds.

First few nights, there was music playing throughout the night, which I assumed was from another resident. I determined that it was the hotel's own speaker system, which was directly beneath my room. When I pointed it out, they happily turned it off and I had no further problems.
