This lovely accommodation was situated in a stately home about 15 minutes from the centre of Durham and about 5 minutes from Lanchester (where we had dinner at a really nice Italian restaurant - recommended). From our prompt and warm welcome from the owner, being shown to our beautifully appointed room with an ensuite and glorious garden view, to a scrumptious breakfast our experience was just great.

Fantastic place to stay, very friendly, a home away from home We had a great time, the dogs loved the space and playing with the owners dogs too The rooms are amazing, comfortable and cosy It’s so relaxing and friendly that we have booked again for next year

Spectacular period property set in stunning gardens and land So so quiet and comfortable We were visiting Kyrren close by and this was a great base for an overnight stay Met by James who was lovely as were the 2 family dogs. A short stroll in the garden and beyond, met the pigs and piglets….so cute. Topped off with a great breakfast What a place….will be sure to return

Beautiful property, lovely gardens.
Breakfast was amazing - great mushrooms!
Bed was huge and comfortable.
Staff were fab - very helpful.
Only downside is no door between the bathroom and bedroom - so very little privacy.
