Stayed here recently with our Grandsons for a few days in a family room and loved it, we travel to Mildura quite regularly and have stayed in a lot of different motels around town and this one is up at the top of the list for future visits, The lady that runs the motel is extremely friendly and helpful , nothing was too much trouble, whilst the room we had was a little dated it was clean and comfortable, I know some of the rooms have been renovated with more modern bathrooms(ours was dated), a lot of the rooms also have a small courtyard area off them which gives you somewhere to sit and relax in private, there is plenty of parking onsite. the location is down the river end of town and we could walk across to the riverbank, for the kids to play at playground or the water splashpark, we also walked down to the dockside for breakfast one morning, it is a short walk also into the main part of town for shops, cafes, bars & restaurants which is great, there is also the putt putt just around the corner to keep the kids occupied. there is a small pool onsite that is great but a little on the small side when you get a few people in there at once, a few more chairs to sit on would be a great addition for the pool area, this is great value for money and we will be back, infact we have already booked in for 2 upcoming trips

Room was clean and tidy, although a little dated and worn. Small pool available to use which was nice. Good location could walk to the river in a couple of minutes and into town in 5-10 minutes. The lady who worked there was wonderful, very friendly offering suggestions on what to do, also nice and simple breakfast items supplied each day such as milk, cold water, juice, fruit cups and cereal packets.

Lovely lady running the motel, warm and welcoming. We had a nice family room, plenty of space and the bonus was a continental breakfast. She also recommended a nice place to eat ‘Sip’ which was excellent as well. Best meal we’ve had out all year !!

Stayed for one night at the City Gate Motel. The staff were very friendly. The lady walked us to our room and put the heater on. The rooms had a complimentary selection of breakfast cereal. The room had its own personal courtyard. The bathroom was in very good shape, with an oversized shower head. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely motel well situated to town and across from the Murray River. We stayed one night only in a back room which had a small court yard for extra space. The room itself was small and could do with a little renovation, however the bathroom was lovely as it has been renovated. Nice Comfortable Bed. Stall were very helpful and friendly. The room came with enough items to have a complementary continental breakfast. We have stayed here 2 times and were pleased with the level of service provided.

Great motel in a good location walkable distance from Mildura CBD. Well equipped, well maintained, spotlessly clean rooms with comfortable beds, new smart TV, full size fridge, microwave, crockery, cutlery. Rooms have a private courtyard with large sliding doors which is nice. Generous breakfast was supplied and replenished every day. Sue was super friendly and helpful, making sure my very late checkin and very early checkout were accommodated for, and even going out of her way to find a time to service my room every day, even though I was in my room working for most of the day. Excellent WiFi was appreciated when working.

We had two nights at City Gate during a road trip to SA to see Maggie Beers Farm. We found our hosts provided exceptional care that I describe as ‘Old School’ since our welfare was paramount. It was the little things that caught my attention like the AC had cooled the room on entry in the heat wave, a very adequate Breakfast provided in the room for both mornings, laundry changed for our second night, very friendly interaction with manager about Mildura’s best eateries etc, immediate attention when a concern was raised. The Motel has been recently painted throughout and is very proudly clean, it has a good sized pool, a laundry, an extra external toilet, good parking. We were very comfortable and felt well catered for with all the things one needs for self care. It is very conveniently located close to town, the Murray River cruises and parklands. All in walking distance. I would Definitely recommend City Gate without hesitation and know you will also be impressed.

We were in this motel last week for 2 nights. We both had a great time. newly renovated rooms , bathroom is superb. Very nice people run this motel. They supply continental breakfast free of charge. 3 minute walk to the heart of town. Next time when you want a place to stay in Mildura give them a call.

The host was excellent. Room was spacious. Cereals, juice, water, milk, tubs of fruit, vegemite, jam and butter were provided. Above and beyond our expectations. Would very much recommend this motel. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean and tidy.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Clean and comfortable rooms. Complimentary breakfast included, with cereal, juice, fruit , milk and toast provided. Super friendly staff who went out of their way to help. Easy walk to town for dinner. Would highly recommend.
