Little Gem
Lovely pub/restaurant. Room was lovely and spacious very comfortable bed. We ate in the restaurant steaks were cooked to perfection. Breakfast was very good.

Tired room at the top of steep, narrow stairs with a 'bathroom' so small I couldn't fit onto the toilet. It was allegedly a "Superior King" room so one wonders about others. So called 'Acclaimed' restaurant closed for the evening.
Only one set of towels between two and no staff around to ask when we returned from the town centre. In fact, nearly everything was automated from check in to check out.

酒店回复: Firstly I am sorry regarding the towels and lack of staff and deeply disappointed that your stay did not reach our normal standards.Our standard is that all rooms have 2 sets of towels - second set in the cupboard. No excuses if we neglected to do that. On a quiet evening staff have been instructed to leave once all guests are checked in or 9 pm which ever is latest - this is currently being reviewed. Some context on the room itself - access is via a normal straight staircase you might find in any home. The room has a Hypnos king sized bed. The shower room is a corner conversion (the room itself dates back to the 13th century) and is therefore smaller than you would expect in a modern hotel. Breakfast is cooked to order and served at the table by our morning team. Express Check-in and out services are for your convenience.I know all this doesn't dial back the clock and improve what's happened, but we work with a very old building. I would point any reader to previous reviews for more insight on how well we have dealt with the challenge.

A unique experience, totally in a good way. They've somehow retrofitted a 14th century building with modern amenities while maintaining its historic charm. Loved our suite! Staff was personable and professional. Great food as well! Little English flower garden in the back. Lovely place!
