The receptionist was so put out by our arrival and was very rude. The door to our room was beat up and scratched. Could have been fixed with paint but I suppose that takes too much effort

Newly renovated. Rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable. Good location in town. Only 2 negatives, no coffee maker or micro in room. We weren't given information on the breakfast. We had an early day, and went down around 0600 in hopes of at least coffee. Nothing was available. Maybe it's later on a weekend and we were just too early, but weren't aware of the hours. Would stay again.

Overall a clean, quiet and comfortable hotel. With this being a Hilton property you would expect in room coffee makers, microwaves and free WiFi (only if you sign up for Hilton Rewards). Not the case. This is one of the 3 hotels we stayed at during our trip and it was the most expensive and did not the amenities of the other less expensive hotels. Very disappointing.

Wanted to visit Carlsbad Caverns and Roswell, but was unimpressed with Carlsbad, NM hotel choices. We love historic hotels, whereas Hotel Artesia is not really a historic hotel, it is built in historic Art Deco style, and the price was reasonable, so we stayed here for two nights. This was a great decision and a wonderful stay! Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, they even have a book of menus of local restaurants. Free breakfast and free bottled water offered. Facility and room were very clean and comfortable. Suite was well laid out with work desk, dining table for two, microwave, dorm fridge, swivel flat screen TV and two recliners which was great for stretching out after a long day. Work desk with USB and wall plugs available for charging.. Bed was comfortable with night stands on each side. Ample lighting with great swivel lights over the bed for evening reading. Location was fantastic! 1.5 hour drive from Cloudcroft, 1 hour to Carlsbad Caverns, 40 minutes to Roswell. We were able to visit all the sites by staying at Hotel Artesia. Hotel Artesia is easy walking distance to downtown and and several restaurants. Artesia was a pleasant surprise, thriving downtown with shops and wonderful artwork and sculptures. Anyone considering visiting Carlsbad Caverns or Roswell really should stay here. I highly recommend them staying at the Hotel Artesia. .

Hotel modern and clean. Was here on a business trip and pleasantly surprised given the basic nature of the town of Artesia. Rooms are clean and comfy. Arrived on a Sunday afternoon for business but be warned, nothing is open, no bars, no restaurants after 3pm due to liquor laws (not even the hotel bar).. So instead of going for a nice dinner, my coworkers and I gave in to the only option of driving to Walmart for some provisions (and wine) and has supper out on the hotel patio. The hotel is also across the road from the refinery.

A very good family night during our road trip. Hotel is modern and clean, wifi very good, and welcome very friendly. A very unique hotel, where alternatives are not so many in the region. For info, the road between the White Sands and Artesia is wonderful.
